One thing about it, @trashgenius is going to wake up every morning with another idea. 😂 And somehow… those ideas keep becoming reality.

Congratulations on writing the proclamation that made 704 Day an official annual holiday in #Charlotte. What an incredible legacy. It’s been the honor of my life to ride every one of your roller coasters of ideas right beside you.

Thank you for loving this city loudly enough to give it something to celebrate forever. I’m so very proud of you.

We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, but when has that ever stopped us? 💪🏾🐐👑

Had the pleasure of creating an original art piece for @realcoleworld on behalf of the @spectrumcenter and @hornets.

My hope was to capture core pieces of the Charlotte I grew from as it intersected with Cole’s journey. This week has been amazing to witness #TheFallOff reveal itself as a beautiful pivot. It feels right that this tour begins in Charlotte. Grateful to have contributed a small piece of the welcome.

More #Charlotte family history for 7.04 Day:

Before @aceofspudstruck, my dad owned Classic Cuisine on Donald Ross Road (west blvd), known for serving some of the best Philly cheesesteaks and burgers in Charlotte. We catered many of the Museums in the city and the Airport Training Center was my favorite. My dad was also the chef behind several family-owned restaurants throughout the city alongside my Uncle Ron, which is a big part of the reason my family moved to Charlotte.

My Uncle Ron owned Windows on Trade (in the 90s) and became one of the first Black restaurant owners in downtown. The popularity of his restaurant even helped influence the need for additional downtown parking. In the video, he shares the story of putting shark on the menu in Charlotte and the community’s reaction to his unforgettable commercial. He also owned The Charleston House on The Plaza. by @queenloany
