Follow along for more of our life in our new neighborhood and in the USA, through the lens of a Nigerian girl. 🤎🇳🇬🇺🇸

Meanwhile I was too busy talking, laughing, answering questions, meeting new people and actually being present… and somehow, I barely filmed anything. 😂

I planned for this to end at 1 PM. The last person left at 1:45. 😂❤️

This wasn’t really about hosting the perfect event. It was about stepping outside my comfort zone, opening my home, sharing a little bit of my culture through snacks and drinks, and simply saying, “Come, let’s get to know each other.”

One moment I’ll never forget was watching someone drink about FIVE cups of my zobo. 😂😭 As someone who loves to cook and loves watching people enjoy what I make, I was in heaven.

Sometimes the best moments are the ones you forget to record. 🤎

I think we had a little too much fun. 😂

IS IT TOO LATE, OR ARE YOU TOO OLD? 👀

Maybe it’s not either.

Maybe sometimes, we’re just afraid.

Afraid of failing.
Afraid of looking silly.
Afraid nobody will show up.
Afraid of what people will think.

And sometimes, that fear keeps us from taking the next step.

So this October, I’m challenging myself to do 10 things I’ve never done before.

Not because they’re on a bucket list.

Not because I suddenly became fearless.

But because I’m learning to do it scared. 🤎

From trying things I’ve never tried to taking small steps outside my comfort zone, I want to see what happens when I stop letting “what if?” make my decisions for me.

Episode 1 drops tomorrow, October 1.

Walked into the living room expecting to clean up toys, only to catch my 4 year old locked in with Dr. Olukoya’s Prayer Rain! 😭😂

I genuinely thought he was just playing with my book, so I tried to take it from him. This boy looked me dead in the eye and said, “No, I’m reading it, Mummy.” 🤣😭

And then proceeded to… well… read it. 😂😂😂

My little boy really said, “Please don’t interrupt my Bible study.” 😭🤣

These random motherhood moments will always have me smiling. 🤎
