Well, mom was just full of bad mews this morning. First, it’s Monday. Second, she has something called a conference and is going to be gone until supaw late. Third, this conference is also tomorrow, but she says she will be back for dinner tomorrow. What is this crip crap?!?! I was giving her a piece of my mind in this pic bc she just got back from a weekend away! Oh, and she went out for dinner last night too!! I can’t believe this woman. Where are her priorities!!! I am #1👑

#throwbackthursday to when I was having a nice bath on the counter when mom let out a huge fart. I was so shocked that I just froze for several seconds. Mom says I was overly dramatic. I think that award goes to her fart.

Mom bought a new blanket for the fall. Apparently the blanket we have is for spring and the other darker one is only a throw. This one is quite lovely. It’s warm and reminds me of the blue one. I have already snagged it with my claws to mark it. Night night.

I tried out this pose after being inspired by Morgana @k_and_thegang to dangle my leg. This is after we got home from the vet where they stole my blood and clipped my murder mittens. Mom says we have to stay on top of my thyroid levels and she had a long chat with the vet. Mom also apologized to me for saying I was getting chubby when the vet confirmed my weight is stable.

Mom was out for a short walk and saw this woman holding a box with bouquets of flowers. She offered to open the door for the lady even though she wasn’t going into that store. The lady then gave her one of the bouquets. Mom said it made her day. Just a reminder that it doesn’t take a lot to be nice to someone and change their day or mood for the better. 💕💕

Mom took a Japanese painting class a few weekend ago. I usually don’t jump on the dining room table but I really enjoy loafing on all her artwork. The rice paper is very soft. 😹😹 new fave spot.

It’s been a dreary week of rain and clouds. Happy to see the sun come out so I can warm my fur. Getting some cheek scratches from mom before she goes away for the weekend because it’s grandpa’s birthday today so she’s off to visit the family in CT. The Brit is taking care of me this weekend but he’s been improving so it should be ok.

We have updates!! The first pic is me giving mom side eye yesterday when the workers were making a lot of noise while I was trying to nap. So rude. But mom stayed in the bedroom with me most of the time so I would not be scared. The leaky pipes are repaired, mom has showered and toilets are flushing again! 🎉🎉 we have huge holes in the kitchen which will remain that way for a bit while things dry out inside. Then they will have to come again to repair the drywall and paint.

Outside cat aka the intruder visited the neighbor’s yard this morning and I spotted him. So I have set up perimeter patrols again. He has not entered our yard. Mom says the neighbor only cleans their yard once every 2 years - otherwise it’s a jungle back there. They cleared it last week so maybe he was coming by to inspect it. And he laid on the hot tub cover until it started to rain.

Last, mom is cat sitting for Prizren. So there are 2 pics of him. Mom says he’s very chatty and sweet. Have a great #sundayfunday

Mom has put me in jail!!! 🙀🙀🙀 She says it’s for my own safety. Why, you ask? Well, yesterday we had a leak. Yep. Water coming through a light fixture in the kitchen. There was a lot of cursing. She turned water off to the bathrooms upstairs. Water kept dripping. At least it was dripping into the sink. She called someone who said they would come at 3. They didn’t show up until 6. They located the problem and turned water off to the entire house. Mom went out to eat dinner at 8pm and when came home said she had to conserve toilet flushes bc we have 3 toilets which means 3 flushes before they were empty.

Workers showed up this morning and I was made a prisoner.
She’s letting me roam around upstairs and even brought my butterfly toy upstairs. The guys are cutting apart more of the kitchen in hopes they can reach the pipe from below and make the repair. If they cannot, then they have to break apart the shower and hopefully only the shower. Worst case is they have to go through both bathrooms because then she has no shower or bath for at least 2 weeks and if we can’t find matching bathroom tile then they have to retile the entire bathroom(s). So she will be stinky and sad and poor.

Mom says I’m a middle-aged kitty now (so rude!). We all know that I will always be a baby!! Cat rule #23. She was worried about how I was getting down from my cat tree in her bedroom. Reports of me almost falling off are highly exaggerated!!! I am perfectly capable of shimmying down and shifting my back side onto the skinny little platform without falling.

Well, she ordered a new cat tree like the one in the kitchen. She insisted that I help so I held the instructions open for her. Then she proceeded not to follow them because she said they were worse than IKEA instructions. Anyhoo. I have a new cat tree. I tested it out a little so mom could take pics and be proud of herself. Congrats mom. 👏👏😹😹
