We went cherry picking in search of the ellusive morello, @carneiro1223 & I, and found them at @maynardsfruits on the Kent/Sussex border. Not many UK farms grow them; just look at the bright red colour in the sunshine. No filter applied.Morello jam, shrub, cordial...granita. Which should it be?...#cherryseason #cherries #morello #cherry #pickyourown by @queenofmarkets

So much fun today with Tel Aviv Farmers’ Market Founder the incredible @shirhalpern - representing @farmretail and our FM’s (@moseleyfarmersmarket) with the Regen Israel Delegation Team … who have a “Spirit of the Field” Program which is designed to cultivate a strategic infrastructure for food security in Israel, rooted in a deep connection to the land, people, and the ecosystem.Regenerative agriculture is a worldview of belonging, sustainability, and collective action. Which fosters / collaboration between government, farmers, academia, civil society, and entrepreneurship - which then builds a network of committed individuals who take responsibility for shaping a nutritious, equitable, and sustainable future for society. This then creates the delegation to Britain, that then represents a pinnacle of learning and international connection (building) and marking the beginning of a shared journey of action, inspiration, and hope. Very nice to share our experiences of running Farmers’ Markets here in the UK. It was also nice to meet on @realfarmed site out in the Cotswolds - FarmEd is a living textbook of regenerative farming on their 107 acre demonstration farm in the Cotswolds. a place where everyone is invited to. Sharing their knowledge about regenerative farming, sustainability, food and biodiversity, from introductory level through to deeper dives. Developing and encouraging agroecological farming techniques that can help make soils more productive, minimise the use of agrochemicals and pollution, and enhance crop diversity. This in turn can make agriculture more resilient. A brilliant way of improving life for all. Highly recommending you take a visit. Nice to bring two countries together through real Farmers’ Markets and thank you so much to Shir, through organising this and gifted through our mutual relationship of @worldfarmersmarketscoalition …also a thanks to Farmer, Omer Strauss who gifted us his home grown Organic Olive Oil … very kind of him. Nice to be on the global stage with my Farmers’ Market colleagues @queenofmarkets and Janet Lees from @abbeyleysmarket. 🙏🏾💚 by @queenofmarkets

A spontanious visit to @tiptreeofficial today. Sadly we couldn't partake of a cream tea, ahead of National Cream Tea day tomorrow as we had our dog with us and weren't allowed to sit indoors. I did buy a carton of strawberries which, I was promised would be the best we'd ever eaten. Once the chill had been reduced they weren't bad. Thinking about my latest strawberry article, it's hard not to be in taste and judge mode! 🍓🍓🍓...#strawberry #strawberry #creamtea #strawberryseason #tiptree by @queenofmarkets
