“Normal”! Will he live a “normal” life? Will he be able to attend a “normal” school? Does he fit in with the “normal” toddlers? Is his behavior “normal”? So many questions, but one simple answer, nothing is “normal”! Anything can be seen and deemed as normal so when it comes to the makings of my Sonshine Jaxon, God called him the head and not the tail! God created Jaxon in His image! God called Jaxon out of darkness into His marvelous light! God formed and knew Jaxon when he was in my womb! Jaxon is God’s masterpiece! As much as it hurt to get Jaxon’s autism diagnosis, and I mean it really hurt, God’s grace has been sufficient and He truly is supplying all of our needs according to His riches and glory. April is Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month and instead of focusing so much on the disability, I will shine light on the different ability! I encourage you to do some research and get informed AND uninformed about what is “normal” about individuals on the autism spectrum and the people who support, care and love them! #JaxonCarl #autism #nonverbal #autismawareness #autismacceptance #blackboyjoy by @queenofpayne4

Today I was blessed to be apart of history! Shout out to my hubby @ramonpayne for coming to show his support and join me on the front line in honor of this special occasion! October 2026 marked 16 years that I have worked as a California State Employee. This journey has awarded me many opportunities and above all the stability and security to be a contributing provider to my household. But just like for most my livelihood has been played with one too many times. With over 100 days and counting without a renewed contract, 1000’s of my coworkers banned together to stand up for what we deserve and decided today was the day we would stand on the front line to fight! Fight against an administration that hasn’t practiced what it’s preached. The disappointment in Gavin Newsome and the CalHR has me disgusted but yet and still the faithful members of @seiu1000 showed that we care about the work we do so much that we’re willing to fight to make sure we can still do the work and support ourselves and families. The disappointment was quickly replaced with pride as I saw the 1000’s in Sacramento picketing and marching, to then see the various pickets and marches all around the state in Oakland, Fresno, San Diego, LA…we showed up and showed out. Will CalHR see that we’re serious about coming to the table to negotiate a fair contract? We shall see but stay tuned cause this will only be the beginning if they do not! Having a now 17 year old has me realizing more and more how time is flying by. I’ve spent years as a sports Mommi and although we’re still on this very active journey I know it will come that day they will move on and I’ll be left with the memories of early morning games, travel games, Friday night lights, hot and muggy summer games, lessons upon lessons, learning new skills and watching them turn into the humans God created them to be. Being a booked and busy sports parent ain’t easy but it’s been so rewarding! I love you @jeremiah_payne3 @j_payne9, #jaxthagr3at #sportsmom #footballmom #baseballmom #swimmom by @queenofpayne4

17 years young! It’s been 17 years of trial and error with the one that officially made me a Mommi! Watching you grow and begin to come into your own is truly a blessing I don’t take for granted. I still look at you with such amazement of what God has blessed us with in you. Remember you are God’s favorite, so walk in the power and authority that He has given you. I love you and continually thankful I was chosen to be your Mom! Happy 17th Birthday @jeremiah_payne3 @_jay.3k_ #birthday #17 by @queenofpayne4

The kid had a game tonight defeating Ponderosa 48-13. Weeks 1-4 were some tough battles against top ranked teams so going into league is about implementing all that was learned from weeks prior. @jeremiah_payne3 proud of you for showing up and being the impact player we all know and love. On to CB this next week on your 17th bday!! #widereceiver #cornerback #varsityfootball #junioryear by @queenofpayne4

The stages of the Mommi and son relationship are beautifully bittersweet. At first I held him because he needed me for everything. Then came the little boy years, when my hugs could fix almost anything. As he’s grows, the hugs have gotten quicker, his independence becomes stronger, and I’m at the stage where I’m learning how to loosen my grip without ever letting go. Eventually, the little boy I once carried will become the man who holds, supports, and protects me. That’s wild! The relationship changes. The roles shift. But the love remains the same.

No matter how old they get, they will always be my baby boys and I will always be one of their safest places and they will always be my heart! 💙💙💙 #motherandson #evolution #blackmom #blacksons #boymom by @queenofpayne4
