Played tourist in my own country today, again! 😬 Checked out New Bahru; a former high school turned shopping destination. Navigating the layout was a little weird, not gonna lie! Followed that up with an impromptu stop at the Peranakan Museum 🏛️. Always fun seeing familiar places with fresh eyes!

今天在自己的國家當了一天觀光客！😬 去了最近很新的 New Bahru，據說以前是間高中，後來改建成商場。說實話，裡面的動線有點奇妙！之後還臨時起意跑去娘惹博物館 (Peranakan Museum) 逛逛，偶爾用遊客的角度看熟悉的城市也蠻有趣的！

Being a tourist in my own country is actually pretty fun. Living abroad makes you appreciate the little things you don’t get to experience every day back home.

I visited the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre with my best friend, and since we’re from the same generation, the museum was incredibly nostalgic. In the same building, there’s also a special exhibition showcasing classic Singapore TV dramas from the ’80s and ’90s.

One interesting thing I learned was that many of the older dramas were written by Hong Kong writers. After Singapore shifted to using local writers, the style and overall quality changed. I really do want to support local productions, but personally, I find many of the newer dramas less engaging. The dialogue, storytelling, and even the acting just don’t capture me the way the older shows did.

If you grew up watching SBC, I highly recommend checking out this limited-time exhibition. It’ll be running until January 2027.

And the best part? It’s completely free! 🇸🇬✨

當自己國家的觀光客，其實還滿好玩的。

住在國外之後，反而更會珍惜以前習以為常、現在卻不常有機會接觸的事物。

今天跟我最好的朋友一起去了新加坡華族文化中心。因為我們是同一個年代長大的，所以整個展覽真的超有共鳴、滿滿都是回憶。

同一棟樓還有另一個特展，介紹 80、90 年代的新加坡電視劇，看得我一直回想起小時候每天守在電視前追劇的日子。

其中一個讓我覺得很有趣的地方是，早期很多經典新加坡劇其實都是香港編劇寫的。後來改由本地編劇為主之後，整體風格也慢慢改變了。

我當然很希望支持本地作品，但如果是我自己的感受，我還是比較喜歡以前的戲。無論是劇情、台詞還是演員的表現，都更有張力，也更吸引人。

如果你也是看 SBC 長大的，很推薦來看看這個期間限定的特展，展覽只到 2027 年 1 月。

而且，還免費喔！🇸🇬❤️

I grow up watching ch 8 local dramas, remember the times I will rush back home from school just to catch re-runs of the dramas even though I have watched them more than once. Sing-along to fav theme songs and catching every episode each night. 📺 💫 by @queenpushycat

Today, our Twitch streaming community lost someone truly special; Marc (Twitch: Tellyst). 😭🫶😢

I’ve known Marc since 2021, when we both first started streaming. From the very beginning, he was nothing but kind, supportive, and genuine. It’s rare to find a friendship like that, especially one that begins online, but Marc was one of those people who made it feel real and effortless.

I feel incredibly honored to have been one of his close friends, and to have witnessed his growth, his passion, and the joy he brought to so many people on Twitch. He truly cared about what he was building and the community around him.

In 2024, I had the chance to meet him in Japan, and I’ll always treasure those memories. Showing him around, spending time together, and sharing laughter, those moments meant so much to me.

He just celebrated his 42nd birthday last week.

Marc, thank you for your kindness, your support, and your friendship. You will always be remembered.

One year difference. I used to wear XL, now I’m down to M/S.

I’ve made many changes over the past year,
and I’m not done yet.

My routine now:
4 days of strength training and 6 days of cardio every week.

My diet stays consistent: 1750~ calories with
140g protein, 60g fat, 150g carbs.

No fad diets. No magic pills. No acupuncture or slimming teas.

Just training hard, eating well, and taking care of myself.

My weight loss has slowed down lately, but I’m not giving up. Life sometimes gets in the way, but never between me and the gym.

一年前 vs 現在。以前穿 XL，現在穿 M / S。

這一年我做了很多改變，而且我還會繼續走下去。

現在的訓練：一週 4 天重量訓練 + 6 天有氧。

飲食也很穩定：(1750大卡）140g 蛋白質、60g 脂肪、150g 碳水。

我沒有走任何捷徑。沒有流行減肥法、沒有神奇藥丸，也沒有針灸或瘦身茶。

我只是每天好好訓練、好好吃、好好照顧自己。

現在體重下降的速度變慢了，但我不會放棄。生活有時候會打亂計畫，但它永遠不會擋在我和健身房之間。

1年前と今。前はXL、今はM／Sサイズ。

この1年でたくさんの変化がありました。そして、まだ終わりではありません。

今のトレーニングは週4回の筋トレ＋週6回の有酸素運動。

食事も安定しています：（1750カロリー)タンパク質140g、脂質60g、炭水化物150g。

流行りのダイエットや魔法のサプリは使っていません。
鍼や痩せるお茶もなし。

ただコツコツトレーニングして、しっかり食べて、
自分の体を大切にしているだけです。
