One of my best performance for the traditional display in the just concluded Miss universe Nigeria pageant is Miss Abuja, @benney_rose , she owned and commanded the entire stage with her entrance dance 🔥🔥🥰🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯, congratulations once again Queen 🙌🏽🥂 by @queensandcostumes

I had a mood-board for the Independence shoot but the weather had other plans. 😭🌧️

Barely 5 minutes into the shoot, the rain started—and it did not come to play.
No shade to completely save us, the costume was all wet, the model’s makeup was damaged from the rain, the backlight refused to trigger, and one thing after another just kept going wrong.

Then, barely 10 minutes into the shoot after the rain had gone down a bit, security at Millennium Park informed us that the park would be closing.

At that point, the original moodboard was basically out the window. 😂

But instead of calling it a failed shoot, we decided to adapt, work with what we had, and create something completely different from what we initially planned.
Sometimes the shoot doesn’t go according to the moodboard.

Would you have continued shooting or called it a day?

It’s Nigeria Independence Day.

Queen INIKPI ⭐️
The warrior queen, a story @commyjohn_ told me about and why she decided to honor a strong and powerful Queen, Ladies and gentlemen, Miss universe Kogi 2025 Traditional attire 💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥

PRINCESS INIKPI!

Today, I stand proudly as Kogi State, wearing a story that has lived through generations.
In the ancient Igala Kingdom, during a time of war and uncertainty, Princess Inikpi, the beloved daughter of Attah Ayegba Oma-Idoko, was destined for a sacrifice believed necessary to save her people.
When she learnt of her fate, the young princess accepted it. She gave up her life so that her people could live, and her name became forever woven into the history of the Igala people.
Today, centuries later, I bring her story to this stage.
Every detail of this costume represents heritage, courage, sacrifice and resilience. I wear the story of a daughter who gave everything for her people, and the spirit of a people who have preserved her memory.

I am Kogi.
I am Igala.
I carry the legacy of Inikpi.

And tonight, when I walk, I do not walk alone.

I walk with her story.
I walk with my people.
I walk with Kogi.
I walk with Nigeria.

THE CENTRE OF UNITY…
A little piece of every state, beautifully woven into one woman. 🇳🇬

As Miss Abuja, I carry more than a crown,I carry the colours, cultures, stories, and spirit of Nigeria. Different states, one identity. Different roots, one beautiful nation.

This is Nigeria, worn with pride. 🇳🇬👑

THE PRELIMINARIES • FASHION NIGHT!

For Fashion Night, I chose this red dress because it represents my bold, resilient and indomitable personality.

For every challenge I’ve encountered, I’ve burnt them down just as fire would, and to my 10-year-old self who dreamt of walking on a big stage as Miss Universe Nigeria, look at us now. We’re living our dreams. ❤️

I will continue to soar higher, and just like the flow created by my cape, I will continue to flow, move forward and rise, no matter the tides or obstacles that come my way.

Thank you so much for all your support thus far. Voting is still ongoing, and please get your tickets to come watch me at the Grand Finale this Sunday.

Standing tall, never shrinking.
Day 3. This journey has thought me that every woman has a power within her, to grow beyond who she is, the power to become, the power to excel and the power to lead.
