Thanks to everyone who has come out and dined with us this bank holiday weekend.We're serving pizza today until 7.30pm. 🍕🔥 We're happy to serve fresh pizza with homemade dough and local ingredients. It's been a fantastic first month since we fired up the pizza oven for the first time. 🔥🍕We're excited to welcome everyone over the sunny summer ahead of us. ☀A little bit about us: As a pub, we offer a casual dining experience serving homemade wood-fired pizza made with delicious ingredients from our estate farms and kitchen gardens. We have tables inside our cosy dining room and bar area and tables outside for when the sun is shining. No need to book as it's walk-in only, we serve food Thursday through Monday from 12 noon until 7.30pm at night. The bar is open for drinks from Thursday to Monday from noon until 10pm and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3pm until 10pm.Our pub hosts six bedrooms all with their own individual charm. We have rooms suitable for families and those requiring easy access. We offer a hearty-cooked breakfast and breakfast buffet for those staying with us. The pub is set in the middle of the beautiful village of Askham and from our front door, you can walk to the top of Askham Fell and see fantastic views of Ullswater and the surrounding fells. Who's ready for some long overdue sunshine? 🌞We certainly are! With freshly brewed ales, cider and lagers on tap, as well as a selection of brilliant local spirits and wines from our cellar, such as Lakes Gin, English sparkling wine, and Cumbrian Ales, we love to make the most of what's available from our own ground. 🍻🥂We bring this local philosophy to our kitchen too! Hand-stretched dough topped with vegetables, salads and herbs from the kitchen gardens at Askham Hall.
