The climb that literally took my breath away - both from the view and the effort!
Standing on the Great Wall of China was one of those surreal moments that make you stop, breathe, and realize how far you’ve come.

I wasn’t sure I’d do this part of the trip alone… but step by step, with burning calves and a full heart, I made it.
The view from the top? Worth every second.
Not just because of the scenery but because I did it for me.

I can’t believe my luck - as an ordinary girl, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to explore some truly extraordinary places! I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve gazed at stunning pictures and heard incredible tales of Machu Picchu. But let me tell you, nothing compares to the feeling of actually being there in person!

Few travel suggestions -

- If you’re planning to visit Machu Picchu from Cusco, there are different ways to get there. I suggest booking your trip in advance with a guided tour to save time and avoid hassle. We booked our trip with @intoperu who curated our itinerary based on our available days.
- Peru is beautiful, but I wasn’t a fan of the food options. I recommend bringing your own snacks to keep your energy levels high.
- It’s important to plan your outfits in advance, as the weather can change quickly and rain or get hot. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen and bug repellent.
- To ensure a comfortable experience, wear comfortable shoes and bring two pairs of socks if possible.
- There are two ways to get to Machu Pichu ruins. By a 40-minute bus or by going up 1000 stairs in the middle of the jungle. I chose the first one as we were there only for few days with packed schedule. There is a lot of climbing involved and due to high altitude I thought I’l die and I’II never get to see Machu Pichu.. it’s really hard and the ruins are really hidden between the mountains! But the view is worth all the pains.

Magical Petra ✨

One of the 7 wonders of the world Petra, Petra is filled with hundreds of archaeological wonders and Hellenistic architecture including temples, streets, Roman-style theatres, tombs and baths. Further into the site, after climbing 900 rock-cut steps you will come across the impressive Ad-Deir Monastery.

Few good to know tips -

- There are different trails to visit Petra, we took the entrance via little Petra (The Back Route to Ad Deir (Monastery). Gives you opportunity to cover most of Petra.
- I recommend at least 2-3 days to see Petra but If you are planning only 1 day then start early, it will be exhausting but worth it.
- Wear comfortable trainers that you can climb in, you will be walking/climbing a LOT!
- Carry cash with you to pay for pictures/ use toilets/ buy souvenirs (shops has card machine but they will charge you extra fee)
-There are restaurants, toilets and plenty of places to get food & drink within the Petra site
- I would suggest not to ride the donkeys/camels/horses to climb. Just don’t!
- We didn’t take a guide but I would strongly recommend to get Bedouin guide for the climbs.

Dm me if you would like to know more, I’m quite friendly 😁

Renting a car in Montenegro? 🇲🇪 Save this route 🚗
these locations come with great parking options.

📍Morning - Nazaré Beach Club
Set on Buljarica Beach, the longest beach on the Budva Riviera, with mountains behind you and the Adriatic in front. Nazaré has loungers and cabanas right by the water.

📍 Afternoon - Sveti Stefan Viewpoint.
I completely avoided st sava church view point due to parking issues.

🍽️ Early dinner - Paštrovića Dvori - highly recommended
A family-style restaurant tucked into the hills above Sveti Stefan.

⛰️ Evening - Lovćen National Park
Swap the coast for the mountains and take the scenic drive through Lovćen.

Beach → iconic views → local food → mountains.

One day. Four completely different sides of Montenegro. 🇲🇪❤️

📌 Save this for your Montenegro road trip. by @queensingh88

Gaztelugatxe, meaning “Castle Rock” in Basque, is home to a small chapel dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, with a history dating back over 1,000 years. The chapel has survived fires, attacks and countless rebuilds, making it one of the most iconic landmarks in northern Spain.

More recently, it became famous around the world as Dragonstone in Game of Thrones (Season 7), although the castle itself was added using CGI.

If you’re planning a visit, here’s what I’d recommend:

• 🚗 We did it as a road trip via Bilbao and reached late morning on a weekday, there was plenty of parking available. Nearest town would be Bakio to stay if you don’t have a car.
• 🎟️ Entry is free, but you must reserve tickets in advance as visitor numbers are limited.
• 🥾 Missed the tickets? There’s also a longer hiking route that reaches the chapel without the reserved access.
• 💧 Carry water, I didn’t and I almost saw my forefathers 😌there are no shops or facilities once the hike starts.
• 📸 Take your time with photos. Every turn offers a different perspective and the views just keep getting better.
• 🪜 The hike isn’t very long, but it involves lots of stairs. If you have knee problems, take it slow.
• 🌊 Not keen on the climb? Visit the nearby mirador (viewpoint) for breathtaking views of Gaztelugatxe without hiking.

Some places become popular because of movies. Gaztelugatxe would have been unforgettable even without Game of Thrones. It’s one of those places that truly leaves you in awe 💙

Positano had been on my vision board for years, and somehow it managed to exceed every expectation.

I visited during the second week of June, and if you’re wondering when to go, this would be my recommendation. It felt like the sweet spot before peak summer crowds. The weather was warm enough to swim in the sea, stroll through the colourful streets, and climb what felt like a thousand stairs without the intense July and August heat.

Getting around was surprisingly easy. I used both the local buses and ferries, found tables at restaurants without long waits, and even managed to enjoy some of Positano’s most sought-after spots.

One of my favourite moments was cocktail hour at @francosbar . It’s walk-in only, and I was expecting a long queue after seeing it all over Instagram. Instead, I barely waited before enjoying one of the most beautiful sunset views on the Amalfi Coast.

For a beach day, I reserved @da_ferdinando_beachclub and it was worth every euro. Comfortable sunbeds, changing facilities, showers, attentive service, and genuinely delicious food. It’s one of those places where you arrive for a few hours and somehow end up spending the entire day.

A few fun facts about Positano:
• The colourful houses weren’t originally painted for Instagram, they helped fishermen spot their homes from the sea.
• There are around 1,700 steps connecting different parts of the town, so comfortable shoes are your best friend.
• Before becoming one of Italy’s most glamorous destinations, Positano was a quiet fishing village.
• The iconic fashion style known as “Moda Positano” was born here in the 1960s, famous for its breezy linen clothing and handmade sandals.

If you’re planning the Amalfi Coast, I’d genuinely recommend visiting in early June. You’ll still get that postcard-perfect Mediterranean experience, but with a little more space to actually enjoy it.

Positano, you were every bit as magical as I’d imagined. 🤍🇮🇹 taken in Positano, Amalfi Coast. Italy. by @queensingh88
