Got to see my favorite boy at Monster Mania in New Jersey yesterday 🥰 Got one of my favourite pieces by @arkeresia signed, as well as my Bruce-only vest, then I gave him a patch that I made for him. He was so sweet and complimentary of all of them, and I'm pretty sure I swooned a little to see him smile in real life, right in front of me 🥹 One of my only regrets is that we were allowed to take a photo of him while he was signing our items, but I was too focused on talking to him to even consider it. The moment will be forever preserved in my brain photos instead I guess 🙏

Of course I had to go see @brucedickinsonhq on The Mandrake Project Tour, and it was AMAZING, AS I KNEW IT WOULD BE. 😍 I love Bruce’s solo work so intensely, so getting to hear it live, in a small venue, right at the barrier, was absolute magic and I will cherish the experience forever. ❤️

And of course because I'm EXTRA I had to make a special outfit for the show, so I made a Bruce Exclusive Battle Vest; a mix of patches made from print-and-iron paper, embroidery, and bleach-dying. (When the things you want don't exist, make them yourself! In this case, a plethora of Bruce patches!) The only two that I ended up purchasing were the "Sacred Cowboys" patch and the backpatch. I was hoping to get the vest signed by the band, but no dice this time around; maybe next tour 👀

Thanks to @1light1mind for being my barrier buddy at the Silver Spring show (and for the last three pictures in this post! ❤️❤️❤️) and to @tiagomartinez16 for hanging out with me in the queue for *both* shows, it was great to be at the barrier with you in Philadelphia! 😊

On today's edition of "random stuff I make;" steering wheel cover! Which of course required a bit of finessing because I'm an overachiever and just ~*had*~ to make it two-sided. 🙃

It took a literal blood sacrifice, but I have made A Garment! I couldn't even tell you the last time I sewed something from a pattern, so it was certainly a learning experience 😄 It's also definitely far from perfect; there are absolutely wonky seams and various improvised fixes for random problems that arose (turns out 8 layers of denim is too many, even for my amazing tank of an antique sewing machine, who knew?) but it lives! It functions as a wearable item!

The mishmash nature of it is due to it being made of various pairs of jeans that I've been holding onto for years; pairs that were either too small or had developed unmanageable tears that made it impossible for them to continue as trousers. I kept saying that I would do "something" with them "someday" and that day ended up being when I decided I wanted an Iron Maiden dedicated battle vest. So while the construction is complete, the embellishments are just getting started. 😈 Stay tuned...

Happy trails, #thefuturepasttour ! You were magnificent, I'm so happy I got to see you! And though Bruce certainly wore it better, I had a lot of fun wearing my Somewhere On Tour Jacket. 😄

And happy retirement to @sirnickomcbrain ❤️ Getting to see you on this tour is now so bittersweet, but it'll make the memories all that much more cherished. ❤️ Crush it one last time tonight! We love you!

Yeah alright, time for some vanity 😅

Undoubtedly, part of the magic of seeing @ironmaiden was the fellow fans I got to hang out with, and boy howdy I had some fun folks around me! The cluster of us paying homage to Steve's 80s fashion choices in Philly, and the little pocket of awesome gals in Baltimore, y'all were the absolute highlights of the experience! Let's do it again some time, yes? 😁❤️
