I Kissed a Girl, but make it Halloween. A spooky sapphic dating night with flirting, games, costumes, creepy questions and hopefully someone worth haunting. For people of age 25+.

Tickets: www.queerevents.nl

Not your average lesbian dating night. This Halloween, we're bringing sapphic flirting, spooky games, questionable questions and a little bit of romantic horror to Dokhuis. Come dressed to impress, seduce, haunt, or simply confuse who you really are. Who knows, you might even find someone worth haunting?

Whether you're looking for a date, a crush, a new situationship, a future member of your polycule, a friend, or just a fun Halloween night with queer company, you're welcome here.

And no, we're not searching for the one. We're making room for all the different ways connections can happen. Monogamous, non-monogamous, somewhere in between, or not looking for romance at all - there's no single happily-ever-after we're trying to achieve. You might leave with a number, a kiss, a new friend, a story to tell, or absolutely no idea what just happened. All valid outcomes.

The evening will be guided by a series of social and flirtation activities designed to help you meet people, break the ice and discover who you might want to get to know a little better. Expect creepy questions, playful games, a touch of dating-show drama and plenty of room for guided conversations.
And who will be guiding you through this romantic horror show? Forget Dani Minogue. Our very own Zani Monologue will be taking the lead, armed with questionable speeches, questionable vampiric outfit and hopefully slightly better matchmaking skills than a haunted crystal ball.

COSTUMES ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED! Go spooky, sexy, glamorous, camp, gothic, undead or whatever makes you feel irresistible.

We have all the details about our next Queer Sunday Café: Gender Upcycling!

Join us on 11 October, 13:00-16:00 at Oase Rotterdam for an afternoon of sustainability, gender expression, community and DIY clothing alterations.

We’ll have:
A short sustainability talk + Q&A with Ola
Gender affirmation exercises and style discussions
DIY clothing alterations, including a sewing machine + crop-top station
☕ At OASE you can get tasty coffee and a great lunch!

What to expect?
A relaxed afternoon of community building, cooperation and sharing ideas. We’ll help each other out, exchange advice and get guidance from the facilitators when needed. You don’t need to be an expert - everyone can bring their own ideas and skills. And in the end, it’s still our chill Queer Sunday Café, so come with a piece of clothing, grab a coffee and hang out with us.

Don’t forget to bring a piece of clothing you’d like to work on! A top to crop, trousers to turn into shorts, or anything else you’d like to alter and give a little refresh.

Swipe through for the full agenda and activity details, and check queerevents.nl for more info and tickets!

CANCELLED DUE TO SICKNESS!

Spooky season is here! Check out our October program!

Craft&Chat Situationship Séance: A fake séance where instead of contacting the dead, you try to contact your situationships, exes and red flags. A cosy but spooky evening of crafting, chatting and questionable dating stories, with a little help from our very unofficial séance.

What will the séance be about? Whatever living souls will need, but our ideas are:
Ghosts of Dating Past
The Séance of Bad Decisions
Call Your Ex - A Very Unofficial Séance
Dead, Gone & Still Watching Your Stories
A Séance for Situationships
Messages from the Red Flag Beyond
Haunted by Your Dating History

We can't promise correct answers, but we will try to have the entertaining ones!

What to do in mean time?
We will provide several crafts: tote bag decorating, collage, bookmarks, stickers for journaling etc. And in between, we will check in our crystal ball what ghosts of the past have to say to us.

Why are we doing this?
To connect with other queer people and share fun dating stories. Maybe also process the past heartbreaks!

Need an evening coffee boost? There will be a possibility to purchase drinks at Dokhuis

This edition of Queer Sunday Cafe is special! We’re bringing a fun and activity theme, this time it's Gender Upcycling, as part of the Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week.

Join us for a hands-on Gender Upcycling workshop exploring how clothing can challenge ideas around gender and self-expression. We'll combine discussion with looking at gender, self-expression and sustainable fashion through simple changes in clothes that already exist.

Clothing is often marketed and organised around the binary idea of gender, but it doesn't mean it needs to be inherently gendered. By adapting, changing and remaking pieces of clothing that we received or thrifted, we can reclaim and play with gender expression. We are going to discuss why this is important, who is deciding for us what we should wear and how, and how we can change our clothes to feel good with our look. At the same time, we will think about the problem: do we have to constantly buy new clothing to feel good? Why does this not sit right with us? How does this affect the environment?

Bring a second-hand, inherited or forgotten piece of clothing and we'll experiment with ways to change its fit, shape, details or style - giving an old garment a new meaning and, hopefully, making it feel a little more like you.

More details soon on our website.

Not your average lesbian dating night! I Kissed a Girl is a sapphic dating and connection event inspired by the TV show, but redesigned for a more inclusive and non-monogamy-friendly community experience, with openness to different kinds of connections.

The event is for around 20 sapphic people who are older than 25 years old, and creates a playful space where people can meet, flirt, kiss, chat, and explore connections in whatever form feels right - whether that becomes a couple, trouple, polycule, situationship, friends-with-benefits, or simply a fun night with new queer connections.

The concept keeps the fun, flirtation, and high-energy dating-show feeling, while removing the assumption that one perfect monogamous match is the goal. Instead, the event celebrates many kinds of attraction and relationship structures, including the platonic ones.

We will not have Dani Minoque as a host, but instead Zani Monologue will try to entertain you with her speeches (and a bit less impressive outfits than the TV host). The evening is structured around a series of guided social and flirtation activities that help people connect in a fun and intentional way.

Need an evening coffee boost? There will be a possibility to purchase drinks at Dokhuis.

28.08 we’re back with one of your favourite events - Sapphic Shots! This time we’ll be shooting at OASE.
It is a casual meetup for sapphics to mingle, play games, flirt with the idea of making new friends, and generally have a good time. Come for the games, stay for the chats, crushes, connections and questionable competitive energy.

OASE has fun games like ping pong, badminton, and sjoelen that we can play, and we’ll also bring Kubb and some more games.
Let’s use the last bits of summer, enjoy games on the OASE terras, chill atmosphere, and meet new people.

Drop in anytime between 19:30 and 21:30 - whether you’re coming to play or just to hang out, you’re welcome. Not into games? Just swing by for chats and drinks - no pressure to play.
And of course, we’ll bring our famous queer ice-breaker cards to make meeting new people super easy. No awkward small talk: just pick a card, ask a question, and let the conversation flow naturally. Perfect for newcomers, shy people, or anyone wanting to make genuine connections.

PS. We’re not here to police identities - “sapphic” is an umbrella term for women who are into other women, and we’re not judging anyone’s gender or orientation. If this space feels like it’s for you, it probably is.'
