This is the announcement that we never thought we’d have to make, but this is sadly the end of the road for Queer Brewing.

Lily explains what’s been going on throughout this video, but in short: we’re no longer able to continue operating, no matter how we want to, or how much we’ve tried.

We know that there’s a certain irony in making this announcement at the start of pride month, our busiest time of year, and we realise that this may come as a surprise.

We are in the fortunate position to be able to close on our own terms, instead of going into administration. This means we have two months to enjoy the final stages of this camp, queer, amazing little brewery together.

And so, our last day of trading will be the 31st July.

We will keep you updated on what’s happening next, including some special releases, events, and fun merch to go out with a bang. If there’s ever been a time to get something from us, now really is the last chance.

Thank you for all the support over the last seven years. Thank you for buying our beer, and wearing our merch. Thanks for keeping a bunch of queers in employment in an industry that has historically not been hospitable to us.

Thank you for helping us make a difference and sharing that difference with us.

Last Friday, we closed our doors to our brewery, warehouse, and eventually at 11pm, our taproom, for the very last time. It’s been a whirlwind journey since we announced our closure back in early June, and we are incredibly grateful for all the messages of support, orders, and outpouring of love for this queer little brewery.

The past seven years since I started Queer Brewing—with little more than a strong drive to make a difference and a little idea as to how—have been phenomenal, and while I can’t put all the memories into this one video (I know I have *many* more videos somewhere), here are a few of our favourite memories over the past four or five years. It’s a mere drop in the bucket in terms of all the incredible moments I’ve shared with not just the team but everyone who’s come along for this ride, but it still broke my heart to make this video, even if I was smiling through the tears.

I think I’m beginning to imagine the way Queer Brewing might live on after we’ve wrapped everything up in our home in East London (this thing’s way too important to me to let it go completely) but everything’s been so much recently and there are still many loose ends I have to tie up, so I’m gonna take some time before I look ahead to what might come next.

Until then, it just leaves us to say thank you for every pint or can you’ve bought, every bit of merch you’ve worn so proudly, every time we’ve met, and all of the support you’ve all shown me and the team over the years. Thank you for helping us make a real difference, and for sharing with us the difference we’ve made. The fact that this little nugget of a dream I had when I was 24 grew into something that’s meant something to and impacted so many people in so many ways has meant more to me, and the team, than we can ever put into words. It’s been the greatest privilege of my life. Queer Brewing ain’t dead yet, but fuck I’m gonna miss what we built together with every fibre of my heart.

This isn’t goodbye forever, but it is goodbye for now. We’ll see you soon <3

This one feels especially significant, as These Hills 2026 will be Queer Brewing’s final festival appearance. Over the past few years, they’ve not only brewed exceptional, world-class beer but have also created vital visibility and representation for LGBTQ+ people, helping to make the beer industry a more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. They’ll be deeply missed by the craft beer community and far beyond, so, make sure to raise a glass with them over These Hills. Wanna come and have one last pint with us? 🥺💔

This Friday will be the last chance to visit our taproom, and we’d love to see you there for one last hurrah!

Here’s everything you need to know:

⏰ We’ll be open from 2-11pm (extended hours)

💖 You’ll be able to pick up any final bits of merch and discounted takeaway cans from us on the night. Whatever is left after this week, we’d love to see it go to good homes!

🤞 We expect it to be busy, so we’d recommend getting down early to avoid disappointment. We will have inside and outside tables available, with standing space too.

Our taproom is step-free and wheelchair accessible, with an accessible loo on site.

We’d love to see our final merch pieces (not many left now 👀) and last remaining beers go to good homes before we close our doors this Friday 31st July.

Well, here they are. A little later than planned, because our brewery doesn't wanna go down without at least a hint of a power struggle, but packaged, delicious, and ready to go: the last three beers to ever be brewed in our silly pink brewery.

🍑 Hot Girl Summer 👙 @izzamabelle's last recipe is a gooorgeously soft guava, peach, and passionfruit sour with over 400kgs of puree in tank. It's juicier than juice, the perfect level of sourness, and perfect for summer sippin'.

🎻 Swan Song 💔 This one is @lilywaite_'s final recipe, and it might just be the best lager we've ever made. Inspired by Czech pale lager that she had at @notchbrewing in 2023, this is a crisp, clean and refined lager with a fluttering of something fruity (couldn't do a straight lager, could we?). Brewed with Czech Sladek hops in the boil and a little Cashmere in the whirlpool, it's such a delight.

💪 DYKONIC ⛓ Our hoppiest IPA ever, this big, juicy, fruity mother is hopped with *a lot* of our faves Azacca, Citra, Idaho 7, Nelson Sauvin, and Strata. A tribute to and celebration of dykes everywhere, we think it does a pretty good job. Just like dykes!

It feels bittersweet to be releasing these three: we're endlessly proud of them and are proud that these are the beers seeing us out, but it's incredibly sad to have fired up the brewery for the very last time. Please help us celebrate with these, and we hope you enjoy them.

Thrilled to collab with @queerbrewing and @thejukebars again on Out Tonight? raising funds for @queensheathpride and @annehealthcare. It’ll be our last collab as sadly Queer Brewing are closing soon, but I’ve sunk a few of these and they slip down real nice. It’s been an honour to work with them on some delicious crisp cold ones.
