We hosted our first ever Queer and Trans Job Fair and here’s the stats

We had twelve employers from diverse sectors tabling & providing resources.

We reached out to over 900 employers across Multnomah, Washington and Clark County asking them to table

Over 1800 people have reached out inquiring about this event

700 people filled out the registration form in the first hour

& 180 were able to attend due to building capacity

We had 4 volunteers plan and run this event.

These events are a labor of love and the joy from these events make all the hard work worth it.

We will be working to figure out how to make these regular events going forward.

Leave voicemails if you can, email Cornell directly, keep talking about this.

Find your power, take a pause from social media if this is all too much.

Think of Jane Doe and the two years it took for this to come to light. Think of how brave they were to keep fighting.

Channel your rage to what feels constructive, even if your rage feels like something you can’t control right now.

They think our anger can’t hurt them, it can.

When in doubt on how to help those impacted by gen0s!de, err on the side of directly supporting Palestinians own fundraisers.

We’re excited to announce the queer and trans job fair lineup! ✨✨✨✨Sign ups are full!✨✨✨

We have a lot of amazing folks putting a lot of work into this event 🙂‍↔️

This event has been a true labor of love and we hope to continue to host job fairs like this one in the future both in person and virtually.

This is a NO MONEY EXCHANGED event. You do not to pay for anything to attend and vendors did not pay to table. @peacock.pdx donated the space for the event. by @queercutepdx

We’re launching a newsletter and a news division with Queer Cute.

The goal of this space is to send out a monthly newsletter & share important news updates impacting the queer community. The newsletter will be sent to subscribers on our website (subscription will start out free and then we will roll out subscription OPTIONS for those who can afford them)

We’re also looking for orgs that can provide resources for low-income individuals or can offer support with interview prep!

CAPACITY HAS BEEN MET - WERE NO LONGER ACCEPTING SIGN UPS

We’re hosting our first ever Queer and Trans Job Fair.

We have fifteen vendors who are providing resume and cover letter support, actively hiring, providing advice on their career paths, or providing education resources.

This event is 21+ as it is at Peacock.

Each employer has structures in place in their businesses / companies that support Queer and Trans hiring practices and employment.

We’ve worked VERY hard to find employers we feel could fit this criteria. If you are a queer and trans friendly employer and haven’t connected with us yet, please do so asap.

This event is entirely free to attend (it’s a no money exchanged event so no one tabling has paid to be at this event either)

If you would like to attend, please fill out the link in our bio. (Queer Cute’s bio) We’re capping attendees at 180ppl to ensure we’re filling building code protocols.

We will also have @wildcardbarber.pdx there providing free buzzcuts & @solace.wellness.pdx providing free 15min massages. ❤️ by @queercutepdx
