You have one more weekend to catch [DIS]APPEARANCE at @annoartem before she fades forever! It has been an honor hearing everyone’s response to this show, and to be given the gift to spearhead it all 💗 if you’re hot and not wanting to be outside this holiday weekend, take a drive down to Pottstown and experience some truly fantastic works by some dedicated artists. IT’S TODAY!! All of our planning, prepping, emailing, and framing has led us to tonight and I could NOT be more excited!!!!! [DIS]APPEARANCE opens tonight at 6pm at @annoartem. Take some time to read through and get to know some of our artists, including @maddie.k.miko, who is presenting some of her very own poetry, and come prepared for a night of art, community, discussion, and honestly just some rad people. On a personal and mushy note, I am extremely proud of this show and its artists, and it would simply mean the world to me if you came and checked it out. Even if it’s not tonight — if you stop by any time this month and engage with the work, I promise you will not be disappointed. Seeing it on the walls gave me genuine chills (and I’m not just saying that because I’m biased). To have been given the opportunity to build a space like this, not only during pride, but under the current administration, and to have six widely different and deep queer experiences held in one space, is a gift I do not take lightly — especially when we are losing so much at a rate that it feels like we can barely breathe these days. I feel a deep sense of loyalty to what we leave behind, and I am very honored to have gotten to help create this little pocket of place-preservation, however temporary it will be ❤️I really hope I see you there. by @queerlymadearts
