When I applied to NYU, I TOLD God, “I will go to the best program, and I will leave it without paying a dime.” And I did exactly that. I became the first in my family to graduate college with a Bachelor’s degree. And I got it from New York the University. And I studied ACTING on a full ride scholarship. I’m proud to have dedicated this time of my life to the study of human beings, to creating “drama,” and using “drama” to make change. It is the biggest burden and the highest honor to be actor. It is God who has gotten me through this process; God who has been my strength through early mornings and late nights; God who has been my hope through the failures, anxieties, and fears; God who has blessed me with friends, now family, that have seen me at my absolute lowest and still love me; God who has reminded me through all the little things that I am redeemed and worthy to be loved, fully. The person who started this journey is completely different from the one that concluded it. And the one that concluded it looks forward to the new beginning that awaits her. taken in New York University by @quenishaimani
