Got to watch Ohio University vs Sac State on Saturday with the fam. Great day of family, football, and fun. Nice to see a (non-high school) team I came to support actually win for once. 😌🙌🏼

Paledusk last night was one hell of a party. Japanese bands know how to throw down. 🤘🏼😤 Headwreck absolutely crushed their first U.S. show, and Slow Degrade set a hell of a tone from the start. Got to finally check out Harlow's too! @paledusk_jpn - アメリカに来てくれてありがとうございました。最高でした！また会えるのを楽しみにしています。Hell yeah for dope music. 🤘🏼🔥

Gavin Prophet put on one of the best sets I've ever had the pleasure of crashing out to last night. When an artist says "get on the stage," you get on the stage; when he says "now jump down and start a pit," you jump down and mosh. 🤘🏼😤 Lioneer, Squid Saves The Planet, and The Numinous were all killer vibes as well. Hell yeah for dope local artists! Thank you @gavinprophet for the absolute party - can't wait to rock with you again! 🤘🏼🔥

Took a hike to Lake Margaret on Saturday with the fam. Few things better than a walk through the forest to a high Sierra lake. 😌 Too bad nobody told us the trail had been re-routed in August, though; we expected just over 4 miles round trip, and got twice that distance. 😬 C'est la vie, still a beautiful hike and a wonderful day with awesome people. 😁🙌🏼

Five years of Aftershock attendance. Walking into Discovery Park feels like going home at this point. I cannot overstate how incredible these four days are; the crowds, the pits, the surfers, and the music all come together to form something truly special. The lineup this year was dope; Pierce The Veil, A Day To Remember, Atreyu, My Chemical Romance, Sleeping With Sirens, BabyMetal, Slaughter To Prevail, The Used, The Pretty Wild, Limp Bizkit, The Devil Wears Prada, Holding Absence, Hawthorne Heights, President, Dance Gavin Dance, The Offspring, Drowning Pool, Psychostik, Wu Tang, Necrogoblikon, Municipal Waste, Red, Suicidal Tendencies, Coheed And Cambria, Silly Goose, Blessthefall, Underoath, Buckethead, Zakk Sabbath, and so many more. 47 bands over 4 days, most of them within spitting distance of the stage - I'd say we got our money's worth. Shoutout to incredible friends, both rolling in the group and found in mosh pits or passing between stages. Shoutout to the amazing Aftershock community. I already can't wait for next year. 🤘🏼🔥

Saturday, I finally got to see Shawn James perform live. I could get real deep in my feelings on this post, but I'll leave it at this: thank you, @shawnjamesmusic. Thank you for writing music; thank you for sharing your art and yourself with the world. Hope I'll get to sing with you again one day soon. 😌🙏🏼

Last night was a dope showcase of local Sac/PNW talent. It was a blast to hang out with @lucreciaband, @seasidemassacre, @oathbound_band, and @falsecovenantband, banging our heads to outstanding music, and chopping it up at the merch tables after. Not only do these bands rip, they're cool as hell too! Happy birthday @sukihyde, it was a pleasure to celebrate with you! 🤞🏼 I look forward to rocking out with all y'all again soon! 🤘🏼🔥

Yoasobi has been a comfort band for me for years now. Japanese is a beautiful language, and Ikura-san has a beautiful voice; couple that with Ayase-san's composition, and you get some outstanding music. This was another show I thought I'd need to go to Japan to see. Thank you for coming, Yoasobi, and I will definitely see you again when next you visit!

First time I saw Poppy, I'd only just become a fan that morning on the drive to Aftershock. Two years later, she's an artist whose music has been the soundtrack to some of my best days, and an anchor during some of my worst. Seeing her again was a truly euphoric experience, made that much better by Thousand Below setting an excellent tone from the start, and Landmvrks absolutely crushing their set as they always do. Shoutout to my sister for driving, and to all the dope people we met in the crowd last night. Hell yeah for good music; hell yeah for awesome people. 🤘🏼🔥

Warped Tour this year was, in a word, insanity. Two full days of chaos, fun, and rough decisions. We Came As Romans, From First To Last, Vana, Jinjer, Grandson, Underoath, Crown The Empire, Story Of The Year, Sleeping With Sirens, Hot Milk, The Wrecks, Bad Cop Bad Cop, Silverstein, Fame On Fire, Millington, Reel Big Fish, Lagwagon, Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, Set It Off...the lineup was stacked, and it delivered. The schedule did not play nice though, and there were some bands I had to miss. Kinda rubs you wrong when you see G-Easy (not by design) and not The Paradox because of schedule conflicts. That's Warped though, and I wouldn't want it any different. Best part is doing it all with amazing friends. Thank you for the memories, Warped Tour - I'll be back for more next year. 🤘🏼🔥
