Listen back now Michele Power’s Shush! Takeover is now available on our Mixcloud. Link in bio. Manager of UCC’s Quercus Talented Students’ Programme, Michele joined me for a wide-ranging conversation about education, student opportunity, libraries, community, music, and memorable gigs from over the years. Her soundtrack reflects a lifelong love of music, bringing together Irish folk, classic rock, singer-songwriter favourites, pop classics, gospel music, classical works, and contemporary acoustic sounds, with every track carrying a personal story or special memory. The conversation also includes one of the show’s best pieces of memorabilia yet: photographic proof that Michele really does own a drumstick used by Larry Mullen Jr. during U2’s legendary Lark by the Lee concert in 1985. Last Thursday, Gavin Hill of Cruz Ireland, Ciara Murphy of ACT (QUERCUS Innovation & Entrepreneurship Scholar) and Sean Barrett of ReAble Labs shared their founder journeys with UCC students. Their message? You don’t have to wait until graduation to take your first step🚀 You don’t need a business or a business degree to join IGNITE for Students. Just curiosity! 👉 Sign up to our student newsletter via the link in our bio for events, opportunities and your next connection💗 by @quercusucc
From Cobh to the international rugby stage, @edwinedogbo10 has another milestone to celebrate.⁣ ⁣ The Munster Rugby and Ireland international has graduated from UCC with a BSc in Applied Economics, adding another achievement to an impressive CV.⁣ ⁣ Edwin’s journey has taken him from @cobhpiratesrfc through the ranks of @uccrfc and into the Munster Academy. ⁣ Now, the second row has established himself among @munsterrugby’s brightest prospects, earning international recognition, representing Ireland and recently signing with a contract extension with Munster until at least 2029.⁣ ⁣ Balancing university studies with professional rugby with is no small feat, and Edogbo took time out from training to return to UCC and celebrate his graduation with fellow graduates, his family and @quercusucc.⁣ ⁣ Congratulations, Edwin! 🎓✨ by @quercusucc
