IN MEMORIAM: FREDDIE JACKSON 🕊️

A voice that defined romance. A vocalist who made every lyric his own. A man whose music became part of the soundtrack of our lives.

Black Beat Magazine remembers the incomparable Freddie Jackson, one of R&B’s most distinctive and enduring voices.

From “Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake)” and “You Are My Lady” to a catalog filled with timeless soul, Freddie gave generations a sound for love, longing and unforgettable late-night moments.

Our special remembrance also includes heartfelt reflections from Melba Moore, Regina Belle and Quez Gaines of Quez Entertainment, sharing memories of the friend, collaborator and man they knew beyond the music.

Rest peacefully, Freddie Jackson. Your voice remains. 🕊️🎶
