No one talks about ongoing grief.

I lost two of my parents 6 months apart… and nothing prepares you for that.

5 years later, I’m still learning how to carry it. Still learning how to move forward with my mom, not without her.

My best friend. My cheerleader. My IT girl. I’m so grateful I got to be her daughter.

If you’re grieving; be gentle with yourself. It’s not easy, no matter how it looks on the outside.

It was truly an honor to meet Rev. Jesse Jackson at Ohio University.

To stand in the presence of someone whose voice helped shape generations… that’s not something I take lightly.

Growing up, we learned about leaders like him in textbooks. But to see him in real life; to hear him speak, to witness his conviction — made history feel personal.

Rev. Jackson didn’t just talk about justice. He organized for it. He marched for it. He demanded it. And he reminded us that our voices matter.

As a student at Ohio University, moments like that shift you. They stretch your understanding of leadership, sacrifice, and impact.

He represented courage in rooms that weren’t built for him. He created pathways where none existed. He believed in collective power before it was trendy to do so.

May he rest well.

And may his impact forever be felt — in our votes, in our organizing, in our boardrooms, in our classrooms, and in the everyday ways we choose to stand for something bigger than ourselves.

Happy Heavenly Father’s Day to my two dads, Tony and Kenny.

To my Dad Tony — my best friend, my confidant, my personal comedian and fellow troublemaker 🤭 The football fanatic who made Browns games non-negotiable because “it’s in the legacy” ✊🏽 🤎🧡 Your cheer never dimmed, even when the team did lol. I miss your laugh, your wisdom, and the way you made life feel like an adventure. #TheMotleyCrew forever.

And to my father Kenny — my first love, my hero, my soldier 🫡, and my truth serum. We didn’t get enough time together, but your presence continues to shape me. Learning your story has been one of my greatest honors. Keep singing up there 🕊️❤️🎤
