Permeable / Impermeable by Pankaj Vishwakarma

Quiet Art Movement invites you to experience Permeable / Impermeable, a new installation by our quiet artist Pankaj Vishwakarma.

Water and food colour meet within an industrial structure, separated by cement boundaries. Through reflection, movement, light and scale, these ordinary materials create an immersive experience, holding a tension between things that can naturally come together and the structures that keep them apart.

The work does not ask you to understand a predetermined idea, only to experience it and to ask how we experience, organise and share our world.

At QAM, we open up our artists’ studios as spaces to encounter, explore and experience art up close, where the work is made.

Come, visit and explore the work.

With heartfelt thanks to Manishbhai Patel for generously opening up his space for this work.

DM for location!📍 by @quietartmovement

Glimpses from a quiet constellation in Baroda where 21 artists got together and shared their practice, sang and grooved to some music! The quiet community gathers in fun ways and opens up their world to connect with audiences and spread art beyond the usual four walls! Thanks NAU @nau.livinglabs for being a wonderful host!

Watch out for the next constellation which might just be in your neighbourhood!

What if a shelter could also preserve a disappearing memory?

For sā Ladakh Biennale 2026, artist @_ayan.biswas presents The Land is Alive, a geodesic dome imagined from plant based bioplastics, where ecology, science and cosmology come together.

Inspired by the wild flora of Sapi village in western Kargil, the installation carries prints of ethno medicinal plants rooted in the Sowa Rigpa tradition, reflecting generations of indigenous knowledge.

As climate change reshapes fragile ecosystems like Sapi Lake, the work asks us to look beyond the landscape, and consider the knowledge, traditions and communities that depend on it.

28.08 & 29.08 || friday & saturday || strangr kala x quiet art movement

we're back w the third installment🧩 of strangr kala w @quietartmovement – bringing art, where you already are.

we’re making it a weekend of reimagining and experiencing art🪿 at our cozy, intimate vasant vihar home on 28-29th aug. the show starts at 8 pm on fri🥀 and extends through all of saturday🌹.

come along to meet the artists and catch works by anshu singh, akshit satyarthi & tan sen. plus, don't miss a live painting⏳️ session by akshit on friday.

you can also reach out to anyone from the qam team🐝 to enquire about buying a piece on both days.

*****
🪴 anshu singh is a textile artist whose practice holds stories of memory, labour and community. trained in weaving and design, her work incorporates banarasi traditions and her childhood connections to the craft. by using recovered materials, her textile speaks softly of care, endurance and the quiet intelligence of hands, while focusing on themes of repair and endurance.

🪴 akshit satyarthi’s art is driven by an urgency to paint as an act of living and resistance. by refusing a fixed style, he embraces experimentation and exploration with a constant urge to move across mediums and ideas. his practice values transformation, fluidity, and the freedom to exist beyond imposed boundaries, rather than seeking control or categorisation.

🪴 tan sen is a surrealist painter and muralist based in goa who explores a futuristic and dynamic interplay between nature, and the built environment. the bold and dynamic colour schemes of his work foregrounds the perceptions of structure, light, and depth by blurring the boundaries between illusion and reality.

🍋 artwork in the creative: kaam daam by tan sen
