I woke up that morning feeling sick and didn’t really want to share, which is why I’m wearing a mask. But I pushed through, and I’m glad I did. 🙏

Some of you asked about my testimony from Sri Lanka, so here it is.

Honestly speaking, when I went to Sri Lanka, I had no expectations. I just went by faith and trusted God for whatever He was going to do.

What I didn’t expect was that God would work on my own heart the way He did.

Throughout the trip, God showed me a lot about myself that I really needed to see. He taught me about patience, love, kindness, and trusting Him when things weren’t going the way I expected.

I also learned a lot about my own limitations. There were definitely moments when I felt overwhelmed, especially with VBS. 😂 Hundreds of kids, very little sleep, crazy heat, and no air conditioning definitely tested me.

But God reminded me that we all have different gifts, and He doesn’t need all of us to be the same. He just wants us to use the gifts and talents He has given us.

One of the biggest moments for me was going door to door and meeting a man who accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. We prayed with him, followed up with him, and the next day I saw him worshipping God with his hands wide open.

That moment really hit me.

I thought, “This is why we came to Sri Lanka.”

It reminded me that it’s about people. It’s about sharing the Gospel, loving people, seeing people find freedom, and watching God change lives right before your eyes.

I went to Sri Lanka thinking I was going to serve, but I came back realizing God was also changing me.

Sometimes you think you’re going somewhere to give, but God ends up giving something back to you.

I’m grateful for everything God taught me in Sri Lanka. And if you ever have the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and go on a mission trip, I hope you go expecting to serve and give, but also expecting God to do something in your own heart. 🙏

For the past several months, I decided to become a member of Onnuri English Ministry. I think this is actually my first time going through a real membership process, even though Youngnak Church in LA will always be my home church.

Honestly, for about 9 years in Korea, it was hard to find a church that really felt like home. I tried a lot of places, but something always felt off. But when Pastor Harold came to OEM, something shifted for me. It just felt right. A lot of the mentors who shaped me in LA are connected to him, and knowing he also comes from my home church made it feel even more real and familiar.

Making this video also gave me a glimpse of how Onnuri operates behind the scenes, and I am just really thankful to be part of what God is already doing here.

If you are looking for a home church, I would say come check it out. I really believe you will not regret it. The message has been on point for me every week, and they also have Korean translation.

Services are every Sunday at 11:30am and 4pm at the Seobinggo Campus.

지난 몇 달 동안 온누리 영어예배 공동체에 정식으로 멤버가 되기로 결정했습니다. LA 영락교회는 저에게 여전히 마음의 고향 같은 교회지만, 이렇게 멤버십 과정을 거치는 건 처음인 것 같아요.

솔직히 한국에서 9년 동안 교회를 찾으면서, 진짜 ‘집 같은’ 느낌을 찾는 게 쉽지 않았습니다. 여러 군데 다녀봤는데 항상 뭔가 조금씩 아쉬웠어요. 그런데 해롤드 목사님이 오시면서 제 안에서 뭔가 바뀌었습니다. 그냥 ‘여기다’라는 느낌이 들었어요. LA에서 저를 세워주신 멘토분들이 목사님과 연결되어 있고, 또 제 모교회와도 이어져 있다는 게 더 익숙하고 편안하게 느껴졌습니다.

이번 영상을 만들면서 온누리가 어떻게 움직이는지도 조금 더 보게 되었고, 하나님이 이미 여기서 하고 계신 일에 함께할 수 있다는 게 정말 감사했습니다.

혹시 교회를 찾고 계신다면, 한 번 와보셨으면 좋겠습니다. 저는 정말 후회하지 않으실 거라고 생각합니다. 매주 말씀이 저한테도 많이 와닿고 있고, 한국어 통역도 있습니다.

예배는 매주 일요일 오전 11시 30분, 오후 4시에 서빙고 캠퍼스에서 있습니다.
