🇨🇦 Vandna and Ashish a couple I met at the Ladner Market ask if I could quilled a couple more pieces to add to their wall decor. They wanted something bright and colourful to put on a white wall. They picked out 2 designs a desert scene and a flamingo scene. This is the desert scene.

🇨🇦Here’s a little cutie patootie especially made for a little girl who has a collection of hippos. 🦛
I remember when I was little I collected small ceramic horses…to this day I don’t know what happened to them but I remember the excitement of adding one to my collection.

Collecting items as a hobby brings joy through the thrill of the hunt, personal connection to history or nostalgia.

What did you collect?

🇨🇦 I met Nathan at the Ladner Village Market and he was intrigued by my Quilling art. He was curious to know if I could create one of a HandyDART vehicle. You know me I’m always up for a challenge. He sent me photos and the project was on. You know there’s always a creative self-doubt that happens during the process but you persevere. Once it’s finished it’s a great sense of accomplishment.

Nathan and his wonderful friends were thrilled with the results and the details that went into it. Thrilled customers always brings me a sense of pride and deep fulfillment in all the hard work and labour that goes into it.

For your info:
HandyDART is a public transit service in British Columbia (operated by TransLink in Metro Vancouver and BC Transit in other regions.

HandyDART is a door-to-door, shared-ride public transit service specially equipped to accommodate passengers using wheelchairs, walkers or scooters that are unable to navigate conventional public transit due to a physical, sensory, or cognitive disability. Drivers assist passengers on and off the vehicle to ensure their safety.

🇨🇦It was a phenomenal day at the Ladner Village Market yesterday. Record breaking crowds and everyone was in such good spirits and buying mood….Yay! It was like Christmas for Quilling In Harmony.
It was also a hugging and saying goodbye day to friends and fellow vendors as we wrapped up the last market of the season.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who made our day a success with purchasing our hand crafted paper Art Quilling. So many happy faces and memories to keep us going until next year.

Until then Quilling in Harmony will now be preparing for the Christmas Craft Fairs this year which we’ll post here mid October.

Again thanks so much for your support..We’ll keep rolling.

🇨🇦 My Strawberry Plant inspired me to Quill this. The leaves are turning a beautiful autumn red now.
While at the Ladner Village Market on Sunday I bought some delicious homemade Strawberry jam by Trisha Gagnon “JAM’N MUSIC”….it’s soooo good.
