I’m excited to share that I finally passed my California MFT Clinical Exam on 5/31/2026 and received my License from the Board of Behavioral Sciences this week. I am now officially a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist! 🎉

This was my 5th attempt at the test and it wasn't easy. Everything I've worked hard for comes down to this moment and I wanted to share a little bit of my journey. It’s been a long road filled with frustration, self-doubt, setbacks, and moments where I genuinely questioned whether I would ever get here. If you know me, you know I’ve been battling this exam for years and, at times, even reconsidered my career path altogether. But this is proof that persistence pays off.

Along the way, I’ve met supervisors who passed on their 4th attempt and licensed clinicians who took 7, 10, or even more tries before finally passing. Many of them have gone on to become incredibly successful and impactful clinicians in the field of mental health. These people have continued to motivate me through all these years. Their stories reminded me that an exam does not define your worth, your competence, or your potential.

What defines us is our character, our willingness to keep showing up, keep learning, and keep moving forward despite the setbacks. For me, this accomplishment isn’t about passing a test, it’s about refusing to give up on a goal that mattered deeply to me. It’s about resilience, perseverance, and trusting that all the hard work would eventually pay off.

Don’t let your failures define you. Your journey may take longer than you expected, but sometimes the wait is longer because the blessings are bigger. ❤️✨

Never give up on a dream because of how long it’s taking. The time will pass anyway. What's next?? taken in Bakersfield, California by @quio_tip
