Mafia romance has become my absolute favorite thing to read lately! It might be my top trope ever!! There is v!olence and unal!ivings. But at the center of every book is a romance being made. If the book even has enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, age gap, or even why choose, then I am hooked!

If you're reading this, I need you to stop doom scrolling and start reading Inked in Betrayal by Victoria Paige. I loved it so much! I could not stop smiling. Kirill the mmc, who is an a$$hole by the way, wanted to humiliate Lucy the fmc. Well my girl gave better than she got. Every. Single. Time!!! She did not cower or tuck tail and run. She was so strong and amazing! She is my hero!! Ugh! This book was sooo good! This was mafia romance done right! It had the regular mafia happenings, top-tier banter between the MC'S, some light suspense and mystery, a few hot spicy scenes, and all wrapped up in a hard fought HEA! I am so excited for the next book in the series!

This was such a good read! Knox is OBSESSED with Sawyer. Now should he be obsessed with her? Definitely not, because she is his brother's girlfriend. But he has been wanting her since they were young. But for reasons known and unknown he could not make a move. And now when they shouldn't want or be with each other; they give in to the forbiddeness and heart break. But now that they have each other, town and family scandals and secrets might tear them back apart. This is book 1 in the free fall duet and hopefully all will be made right and known in book 2 coming later this fall!

We paused at the bottom of a sweeping staircase, his eyes lowering to my bare feet. “My housekeeper will tend to your injuries.”

“I’m fine. Hydrogen peroxide will be enough.”

“Good, I don’t need to carry you.”

Kirill narrowed his eyes at me before turning around and heading up the staircase. “Like I said, I’m not the one who’s going to convince you. I don’t have enough patience, and I’d rather not m*rd3r my bride before the ceremony.”

I bit back a smile. If he had meant to insult or scare me, it didn’t land that way. He was irritated. Good. That squinting of his eyes was a giveaway, which he quickly disguised as he resumed ascending the stairs. I followed him. “Now, is that the way my betrothed is supposed to behave?”
