The Naginata was used by both the samurai and ashigaru classes in feudal Japan. It’s a cool weapon because it combines a sword and a polearm. Here’s a custom resin printed one i made that fits on LEGO’s flextubes 🎌#LEGO #naginata by @quiriacus

What I find the most interesting about the middle-age are early fire arms and cannons. It’s funny that some people ignore the fact that firearms were omnipresent throughout most of the middle age. What started as a way to scare the enemy with explosion sounds became a heavy contributor to win battles, such as the battle of Castillon (end of the Hundred Years war), where the French annihilated the English troops using cannons and early forms of artillery. ⁣⁣The earliest mention by the French of firearms & cannons dates back from 1340.
