Very fortunate to have collaborated with @overtonebrewing @mainsbrewco and @glasladiesbeersociety on the design for the new St Enoch Mother Glasgow Summer Pale Ale. Brewed for Glasgow’s 850th anniversary and available to purchase now.

These designs came to life during a holiday on the Ardnish Peninsula. The house was only accessible via boat, and lit by paraffin lamps. There was no signal or electricty, except from standing on a rock and waving our phones at the sky at a specific time of day. I raced through my book and didn’t brush my hair.

For Overtone’s Summer Series, we wanted to capture a sense of unity. Being somewhat “off grid” made me feel simultaneously disconnected and equally connected with a wider whole. I took photographs of shells, lines left by the waves in the sand - leaving geometric patterns - and new plants whose names I don't know. Taking these film photographs of organic forms, I edited them and printed them in risograph to add texture, creating the final compositions by combining these with reused materials and reimagined forms from previous pieces. In my work, I combine traditional print methods like lino-cut and combine these with digital techniques in an attempt to create a layered conversation. by @quirkel

a sincere thank you to everyone who came out to the exhibition last week. Biggest thanks to everyone who helped me in the chaotic days before set-up and to the gal who said “I think I’ve seen your work in the GOMA” - my ego will never recover ❤️‍🔥

Large scale abstract work - old collages brought back to life, scanned, cut up, printed over and reconfigured to create something new. Embracing accidents and imperfect textures.

I think the fact that Risograph marks are called “track marks” is super dramatic. So I’ve decided to leave them in 🚓 by @quirkel

I’m preparing work to send to a gallery, and I’m thrilled — it’s like winning the “being a bit cheeky and getting away with it” lottery. This piece is all about getting away with it. Colours are a bit awry. Learning that when you need something scanned, it’s best to do it yourself. by @quirkel
