Broadview, IL. I was peacefully demonstrating and sitting with a sign and was picked up by two ICE agents and flung across the street. I am fine, but other comrades were injured here and when they later used chemical weapons.

ICE out of Illinois, ICE out of Chicago, abolish them.

This year’s @bravespacealliance Dignity Dash 5k is next Sunday, July 26!

Brave Space Alliance (BSA) is a Black trans-led LGBTQ+ Center in Chicago. In 2017, a small, brave group of individuals founded BSA to fill the significant gap in advocacy, programs, services, and spaces of care and connection centering and led by trans and gender expansive people.

Read & Run Chicago is honored to run with purpose and support Brave Space Alliance‘s incredible work and contributions to our city. ❤️🏳️‍⚧️ Our team has already raised over $1,000!

This year’s Dash will raise funds for BSA’s identity-affirming Dignity Suite, community support groups, free barber shop days, and more!

These puppets are pro-choice! ✊ That's why Chicago Abortion Fund is happy to partner with Nasty, Brutish, and Short at their upcoming anniversary show on May 23rd.

Before and after the show, CAF will be tabling in the lobby. We'll be there to connect folks with resources, answer any questions, and of course, happily accept donations towards our yearly fund-a-thon!

just contemplating the sheer magnitude of turning 37 tomorrow!

i am lucky enough to have all the love and support and things i could ever dream of! so my ask this year, if you are someone who was going to get me a gift or take me out for a coffee, could you please instead donate to chicago abortion fund and/or brave space alliance? they're two organizations very important to me, and both truly on the front lines of fighting back against the fascist violence against our communities.

the best gift i could ever ask for is to demolish any and all barriers to abortion. the best gift i could ever ask for is for queer and trans chicagoans to be fed, housed, and supported.

to anyone who can help give this gift, thank you and i love you dearly for being in community with me. ♥️
