Snapshots from last Friday’s Quorum rehearsal!

Amidst all the singing, we carved out time to discuss key decisions for our upcoming concert on Saturday, October 24th. Topics ranged from our company Code of Conduct, website updates, to repertoire planning—and even a quick Core group breakout session!

Because Quorum thrives on collaboration, we dedicate part of our rehearsal time to in-person discussions whenever we’re all together. Our Core groups are the backbone of this process—four dedicated teams responsible for shaping the musical details and rehearsal strategies for their assigned repertoire. These Cores usually meet once or twice outside of full rehearsals to coordinate, plan, and fine-tune their work.

At Friday’s session, each Core gathered briefly to align schedules, set their next meeting, and clarify individual responsibilities within the group.

Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes glimpses into how Quorum operates as a truly collaborative performance ensemble!

This weekend, Quorum Collaborative Choir stepped away from our routines and into a shared creative space — a time for planning, reading through new music, and reconnecting with the values that shape our work.

As a collaborative choir, we rehearse and perform without a conductor. Instead, we rely on collective listening, shared leadership, and thoughtful dialogue. Every singer contributes to the musical and artistic decisions that define our sound. It’s a practice of trust — and a reminder that music is at its most powerful when it’s created together.

We’re excited for the season ahead and grateful for the voices, ideas, and hearts that make this ensemble what it is!

If you’d like to explore our collaborative philosophy, learn about our season planning, or discover ways to support the choir, we’re here.

Quorum gathered last weekend for a focused post‑concert planning session, diving into ideas for social media, design, coordination, and upcoming artistic projects. These regular check‑ins are a key part of how we grow—creating space for every member to contribute, shape our direction, and help imagine what future concerts and collaborations can become. Exciting things are already taking shape as we plan for the seasons ahead!
