Kevin Farrell and his wife have called Queen Village home for over four years. Originally from Bucks County, Kevin moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University, where he earned his degree in Finance. He currently serves as a Portfolio Manager at Glenmede Trust Company, providing clients with tailored investment advice, asset allocation strategies, and ongoing portfolio management, and holds his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Kevin joined the Queen Village Neighbors Association board in 2025 and actively serves on the finance committee.

Kevin is passionate about giving back to the community and is actively involved with several charitable organizations that support individuals with special needs, regularly volunteering his time and helping lead fundraising initiatives. Outside of community work, Kevin and his wife love to travel, explore new countries, and go on their annual ski trip to Vermont. A self-proclaimed foodie, Kevin is always looking for new cuisines and new restaurants to try, which is something Queen Village makes very easy.

Yvette Browning retired from the IRS in 2025 after a dedicated career in public service. She moved to Courtyard in 2024 and quickly became an active and engaged member of the community. Yvette has volunteered her time to support food giveaways, served as a floor captain, and participated in community gardening initiatives. She is committed to helping strengthen and build a connected, caring community.

In addition to her community involvement, Yvette is an active member of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she serves in the Women’s Ministry and participates in homeless outreach.

Yesterday, Majority Leader Katherine Gilmore Richardson held a press conference to announce her latest legislative effort to deal with nuisance businesses.

This bill will create a zoning classification for “tobacco sales,” and restrict where new smoke shops can open.

She was joined by community leaders from around the city who shared stories of how these businesses are having a detrimental effect on their neighborhoods.

We applaud CM Gilmore Richardson for her leadership on this issue!

A few weeks ago, QVNA hosted the “Keep It Clean” storm drain labeling event. As the leaves continue to fall and the rainy Autumn season begins, we need your help to keep Queen Village clean.

Please keep leaves off the streets by regularly removing leaves from your stoops and property.

To request a storm drain cleaning, call 311 or visit www.phila.gov/311.

To report a clogged drain or a flooded street, contact the Philadelphia Water Department at (215) 685-6300.
