“Don’t call it a comeback, I’ve been here for years!”

In May, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Last week, on October 6th, I celebrated ringing the bell to mark the end of my treatment.

The past eight months, filled with symptoms, chemo, and countless emotions, have been a rollercoaster. My journey was far from perfect. I tried, failed, got back up, and fell again. But through it all, the Lord kept me. He gave me rest when I was weary, peace when I was anxious, and strength on the days I felt weaker than I could ever imagine.

There were moments when I looked out the window and felt like the world was passing me by. But then I remembered I had already placed this entire situation in the Lord’s hands before I even received the diagnosis.

Not because of who I am, but because of how good He is.

I can tell you that there were blessings God had hidden in plain sight, and He is still unraveling them to this very day.

So please, don’t lose sight of your faith. God is ever-present, regardless of the circumstances.

I’m also beyond grateful for my family, friends, and the incredible care team at Mercy Hospital for their love, support, and encouragement throughout this journey. I couldn’t have made it through without them.

I am sincerely grateful to announce the conclusion of my tenure with the St. Louis MetroMarket. What a journey! For nearly five years, I have had the privilege of leading the St. Louis MetroMarket at Operation Food Search. I have truly cherished the mission, serving the community, and having a positive impact in Saint Louis.

I would have never imagined back in 2017 as an intern with the MetroMarket that I would be able to serve in this capacity. Thank you to Operation Food Search, community members, colleagues, donors, partners, mentors, family, and friends. I couldn’t have done this without your support.

I am excited as I explore new opportunities to address systemic issues in our region while prioritizing my art, design, and my podcast @speakupstlouis moving forward.

The Lord has been faithful and provided for me in this season! I can’t wait to see what this next chapter has in store.
