I’ve been working with Compton’s since 1/5/2025. I knew this project was going to be important to me, but I had no idea just how important. To say that it changed my life would be an understatement. I put every ounce of love and passion into this piece. This was my pride and joy for a year and some change. It was a blessing to be working alongside so many other trans people to spread this important piece of our history. It pushed me to do more. And I just hope all of you felt the care & love I put into this.

In the months leading up to finishing my lap around the sun, I felt the years weight come to surface. I felt the losses, I felt the good that was about to come. I had the space to feel all of these things in Hawaii because of a big loss I endured. Pride weekend was right around the corner, and I was burnt out. I had no idea what was waiting for me that Friday night. I was running Compton’s & about to hit the “play version” of our riot when my phone started blowing up. Our trans siblings were being arrested. Saturday, the same thing, but worse. Riot gear & at least 100 cops. Trying to juggle the play & what was actually happening in 2026 caused me to leave my body for a few days. I am still furious. I am still devastated. But I’m thankful. I’m thankful I get to live as my authentic self today. I don’t know what’s to come, but I’m thankful to exist. I’m thankful for every trans person I have in my life & those who paved the way before us. Here’s to another year of love, resistance, & growth. by @qwentahd

8 years.
I moved to this queer ass city 8 years ago to date. And boy has a time been had! I’ve fallen in love, I’ve fallen to the bottom of the bottle time & time again, I’ve lost loved ones. I became a cat dad. I fell in love with who I was, and also couldn’t bare to look at myself in the mirror. But even in all that, I still was able to live authentically as myself through it all. I’ve made a name for myself here & couldn’t be more proud of the work I’ve put in. I’ve worked along side legends & get to call a couple of them my family. I love you, Eli, Glama, & Juanita. This past year holds the most significance yet, I now manage 30+ people in a little piece of TL history. Compton’s cafeteria Riot just passed a year of shows this past weekend and I’m so thankful to get to be surrounded by so many trans people every single weekend. Even though our rights are being stripped away, I come home every single weekend and realize we’ve got this. Here’s to the next year of growth, love, and healing. 🫶🏼✨ by @qwentahd

Happy #TDOV2026 🏳️‍⚧️🫶🏼 this year has been a big one. I’ve been working with a primarily all trans cast & crew going on a year now. My life & every other trans person’s life has been challenged & they’re trying to erase. Us from existing. So me working on this piece that happened in 1966 today, is incredibly important & truly the biggest honor I’ve ever had. I’ll remain visible for as long as I’m breathing. by @qwentahd

It’s been half a decade since @mr.davidglamamore put me to work for @pillowsdrag for the first time. My life hasn’t been the same since, and I’m thankful every single day I spoke to the cute lil trans dude in coat check. 2025-
You taught me a lot. You taught me how to love myself again. You taught me how to speak up for what I need. At the end of the day, I just need to SAY SOMETHING. I am worthy of respect and joy. This year burned me quite badly, I came close to losing my son in the process. You also gave me a job that I never dreamed I’d have & be praised for. I am thankful I made it out. I am looking forward to 2026 & taking these incredibly challenging lessons & work through them. 2026 I’m going to feel the anger 2025 left me with & resolve it. 2026 is a big year for cancer, or so I’ve been told. by @qwentahd
