Èo kó hána máli ró meia👋🏼✨️ I am R.B. A love, a promise, these words. Three things that keep me hanging on through the incredibly difficult journey of trying to get published.

🏔To my husband, thank you for your encouragement and love.

🌅To my grandmother: I miss you terribly, and I won't give up.

✨️To the beta-readers of The Queensland Writers Centre: you are empowerers. You are light and hope to authors. Thank you for the beautiful feedback above.

🔥To Evie, the main character of The Lions of Sandfire: your fire and charm got us noticed, my darling. May the world one day know you🎆. by @r.b.holmes

"I'll tell you a tale of heroes and fiends.
Of treasures and Faeries and kings amongst thieves.
Of a love of a kind living only in dreams.
Of Mordecai and Evangeline."

I had the amazing opportunity of collaborating with the incredibly talented @sunkissedillustration . She is an absolutely beautiful human to work with, and I cannot thank her enough for bringing Mord and Evie to life from my novel The Lions of Sandfire: All for One ✨️🎊🙌

Eszter is worth her weight in gold 🙌✨️🎆

Who needs A.I. to write a novel when you have grief, trauma and shots of hot chilli sauce?

Thank you to @mayseelight.author @james.e.olson.houston @urbwrites @elisewrites @mjperkinsbooks and @anderroybooks for your wonderful contributions.

One part of world building means making folk songs with the amazing, alpine fairy who introduced me to fantasy when I was tiny and furious.

Behold... My dad✨️

💪"Hard yakka" - an Australian slang term for "hard work".

🤖 A.I. - technologies that when used within the arts, rob intellectual property, contribute to unemployment, inhibit human growth, stunt development, and curb thinking, writing and artistic skill.

❤️ Artists (all types, including authors, musicians, poets, painters, dancers, actors ect) - amazing humans who through devotion, passion and hard yakka, explore our place in the universe, what it means to be human and give meaning to our lives.

In the face of the uprising of the Artist's Bane (🤖), let us remember:

❌️Say no to books and artwork made by A.I.
❌️Say no to companies who replace humans with A.I.

✅️Say yes to research, human innovation, curiosity and human mentorship.
✅️Say yes to investing in the work of human artists; from your cover artist for your novel, to the book you read and the teacher who shows you how to be the best creator you can be.
