🌸 Like, okay, I get it. Writers have to write from somewhere, right?

🌸 But fuckkk am I deeply traumatized over here. Idk tho, kinda feels...therapeutic. Like channeling my own pain through the lens of another character. Quite literally forging a path towards healing old wounds.

🌸 Not every chapter is this dark. But damn 😭 I cried like a baby when I read the full chapter (WAY more sinister in its entirety). Seriously had to take a break after that. 🫠

🌸 I feel there is no better time to come out than during pride month. 💗

🌸 For years, many people have known me one way, as gay, Christian, or a perpetually depressed human being with an occasional overload of passion for their art and writing.

🌸 For years I lied to myself and fought to contain the woman inside of me. For years, I abandoned who I was to make others around me more comfortable. Family, friends, even myself as I could not accept who I was. And it did more damage to my life than it ever did good. From bad habits to unhealed trauma, I'm not sure I'd still be here if I hadn't learned to love myself.

🌸 Because whatever self-love energy is in the air, the one that says "I'm that bitch and I know it," I've got it. 💅🏾✨ And I've never been more aligned, authentic and genuinely excited to live the rest of my life.

🌸 Don't let anyone tell you that you're a mistake. Don't let anyone manipulate you with "I love you" when it comes with conditions, or challenge the agency you have over your life when you're the one who was born to live it.

🌸 When you look in the mirror, you gotta love what you see. And I, for one, LOVEEE the woman staring back at me. 🙂‍↕️ 🏳️‍⚧️
