"Marc is a genius. He is complete in every sense: talent, management, generosity . If I had to use one adjective, I would say that he is a complete rider."~Marco Rigamonti by @r.mocull
"At the beginning of the year, Marc wasn't making much of a difference in the left-hand corners , and he said he didn't understand why. Then he realized it was a nervous issue: his body was going into self-protection mode, so he was putting himself in a position that wasn't suitable for going fast."~Marco Rigamonti But he didn't understand it either, and we weren't seeing the difference he always made in the left-hand corners ." He also gave the example of Assen in 2025 and 2026, where he couldn't go as fast in the corners: "As Marc says, if you were at 100% before and suffered the injury, that's your new 100% , but nobody knows it, the doctors don't know it, only he will know it, in time, when he gets there."~Marco Rigamonti by @r.mocull
"Regarding risk, Marc obviously tells us, and it’s clear, that now he has to manage his strength and energy. In his condition, crashes can be more dangerous than they were ten years ago, both because of his age and the injuries he’s suffered. That’s why he tells us he has to control these things. We don’t discuss the fact that he can no longer make those pit stops, because it’s not a performance issue, but something to work on."~Marco Rigamonti by @r.mocull
“If I look at Marc's history, he’s someone who has crashed a lot , especially during practice, perhaps precisely because he was pushing the limits, and to push them, sometimes you have to go further. When you’re right on the edge, you don’t know if you’re going to cross it ; you stay alert, and if you’re alert, you can probably control it."~Marco Rigamonti by @r.mocull
"Without a doubt, talent and sensitivity come first , because that means you know you're going to crash. That's Marc's riding style, always pushing everything to the limit. Now less so, in my opinion, because crashing isn't as pleasant anymore , partly due to his age, partly due to what happened."~Marco Rigamonti by @r.mocull
"In some races last year, Marc had quite a bit of a margin, so maybe he'd open up a one-second advantage at the beginning and then manage it . He didn't push until the end; he told us this himself on occasion. Not to boast, so to speak, but to say: 'I could have managed it better, I did it this way."~Marco Rigamonti by @r.mocull
"Marc listens to everyone and even tries to change things.Someone like that also makes you enjoy working because you know that he will follow through and bring home the results."~Marco Rigamonti Rigamonti states that Marc Márquez is very good at analyzing data and provides the engineers with many suggestions: “It has happened often, and we really appreciate it , that we give him feedback in a group setting, with those watching from the track: ‘Look, maybe it would be a good idea to try something different there,’ and you would expect a rider of his caliber, with what he has won, to say: ‘ I know how to ride a bike, you just concentrate on doing your thing .’~Marco Rigamonti "But instead, it’s the complete opposite; he listens to everyone and even tries to change things. Someone like that also makes you enjoy working and giving more of yourself, because you know that he will follow through and bring home the results."~Marco Rigamonti by @r.mocull
"With someone who always gives his all , and with the talent Marc has, when things aren't going well, you know you have to work on it, you have to do something. Marc knows he's always pushing the bike to the limit. Marc always gives 100%."~Marco Rigamonti "If he then does it in a way that makes you say, ' But I can't ride like that the whole race ,' it makes you understand. From that perspective, it's easier, because if things aren't going well , it means there's something technical that's limiting him. On the other hand, it gives you more motivation, precisely because you know he always gives 100%."~Marco Rigamonti by @r.mocull
