Save the date: rau.ton is heading to Frankfurt am Main for a special listening session at @2og_dondorf .
For this intimate edition, we are shifting the focus to a deeper sonic experience, exploring the experimental side of our sound. Join, listen, and come as u are.

The techno scene and its events face increasing pressure to label and categorize. By omitting such labels, rau.ton aims to create an inclusive space for people of any class, nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, fashion style, or dance style. by @r.select.wav

FROM DUSK TILL DAWN!
Time in a club is never linear and it is a shifting emotional state. With this four-part series, I am dissecting the night and translating its phases into my own Interpretation of a night. Each hour is an experiment with different genres, dynamics, and the subversion of expectation.
I. 11PM – The introduction, the foundation, the opening. A play with textures and the hypnotic pull of the beginning.
II. 3AM – Total presence. Where genres blur and only the energy energy remains.
III. 8AM – Dissolution. Melancholic layers and the catharsis of the morning light.
IV. CRUDO – The genre bending alias. A dark and unrefined wave.
Four interpretations. One spectrum.
The first set now live on SoundCloud.

In two weeks, @praes.ar returns — this time in Cologne.
For this special occasion, I’m both thrilled and a little nervous to reveal my new alias: “Crudo.”

Crudo dives deep into another side of myself — exploring the darker currents of electronic music. It moves through shadows of Italo Body Music, Electronic Body Music, and fleeting touches of Experimental and Dark Wave.

I can’t wait to unveil the essence of Crudo with a listening set for @praes.ar .

PRAES | r.SELECT | 01.08.2025 @salon_des_amateurs

r.Select is a cologne based artist, who is deeply rooted in the local techno scene. As a part of rau.ton, he is embodying the essence of rough and percussive techno.

For this occasion he is uncovering an unseen version of himself - still staying true to a rough sound, but expressing it through a set heavily influenced by IBM, EBM and Dark Wave.

Finally I uploaded my set from the @rau.ton 2 year anniversary @gewoelbe_cologne 2 weeks ago. Closing down the night after @leaocchi (also thank you for your amazing Set) was an absolute dream, with being able to even extend the set. Thanks to all the dancers for the unmatched energy.
Next up rau.ton @tresor.west on Sunday, followed by a short summer break and some time off.
