BASE CONTEXT: In my lore there are two main opposing lineages (or rules) that have had generational beef with each other and they are named 'Varnhalms' and 'Halovians'. (I took the word from HSR I'm aware don't flame me) Halovians are kinda centered and based around religious themes including harmony, kindness and patience. By tradition or rather a ritual unique to Halovians, every individual (in this lineage) must commit their lives to a certain person, which they call it a Halovian's 'sin'. Whether it be romantical, platonical, simple companionship or some other psychological reason.
Here we have our lovely Halovian; Altoid. Our Varnhalm here is known as Corvyn. Altoid was sent as a spy to the [ Towers of Eveloria ] where something was to be investigated. Halfway through he finds out that a Varnhalm, was supposedly living in the said kingdom undercover, amidst the common folk of the palace simply doing his antique work and tinkering with his artifacts and relics. Altoid's nature is close to that of an entity, so he can easily hide his presence from the room thus being able to spy. When he runs into the Varnhalm, he immediately figures out what he's hiding. The Varnhalm in return, holds HIS undercover job against him. In the end? Both agree to keeping each others secrets while co existing in Corvyns personal office where only he worked alone, with Altoid hanging about slowly becoming curious about the Varnhalm. Corvyn had distanced himself from his kind to 'take a break' from their political drama they were dealing with. Altoid slowly grows fond of Corvyn, eventually choosing him as his sin through 'companionship'.

And Vaelondir would go to various lengths to achieve his objective if anyone stops him! This is the vaguest I can go ohmg pls ask questions or something I'm gonna cry

Hi thank you for deciding to read ahead 🫠 Context; Aikio grew up almost motherless since his mother died (killed) when he was very young and his father was not a nice person so Lofu would often help and comfort Aikio when they'd meet during their school hours in the academia. Aikio grew attached to Lofu and thus began to rely on him for almost everything since Aikios dad also dies (naturally) later on. Lofu originally was an orphan to the kingdom of unknown origin so he didnt have proper parents or family but he grew very independent. So independent that he thought Aikio was a distraction and was slowing him down so he leaves him, distances himself from him since Aikio ended up being known as that one disgrace of a child of his entire bloodline after he started failing at academics too woo
Laater when Aikio becomes the general and Lofu looks back, he realizes he does afterall miss him and care for him but by the time he tries to talk and get him to return, Aikio has fallen victim to the Lilith and is slowly dying and nothing can be done about it annnddd Aikio also kind of? uses the abandonment against Lofu to drive him insane of his own guilt yay is this doomed thats up to you

Nakamura Aikido (Jp) ; Exiled Lilith Reaver. Cursed. Wanders the labyrinthine forest of Azurite. It's been years that he's seen anyone who could recognize him again.
Tatsumi Shingan (Jp) ; Honored knight from an ally kingdom. Has joined the Lilith Reavers to look for Aikido. He only thinks and yearns for him and him only.
Contextt hyeh Aikido is cursed by a certain flora that appears to target loved ones of the victim/host as well. In Aikido's case, the Lilith constantly restrains Shingan from stepping any closer within a certain range; the flora spirals and brings pain to the bearer if the line is crossed. While the Lilith eats away it's host's life and emotion as well, it acts as a bad omen (or bad luck) to whoever is around. That being Shingan 😔 whoops so uh he kinda dies trying to save him.
