Featherweight World Champion 👑

I've competed lightweight the whole season prior to this tournament. My diet is clean year round, so I felt strong during this training camp. My confidence came the quality of the training I was receiving, as well as the structure of the training program. I was ready.

I'm excited to close out the 2023 season officially ranked number one in the world in my IBJJF division. This was a collective effort from my professors and teammates, who challenged me throughout the season.

I'm already preparing for next season to compete at Featherweight throughout the 2024 season. Thank you everyone for all the support.

All glory to God! ☝️

2x Master World Champion 👑

Last year, at this tournament, I lost in the first round. I made a promise to myself to do whatever it takes to make sure that never happens again. I never want to feel that way again, so I bet on myself. I made the necessary changes and seeked counsel from my coaches. I went beyond the mats. I trained, I studied, I planned my season and set a goal. My confidence came from the quality of the training program and my consistency to follow through with it each day. I was able to finish my 2024 brown belt season undefeated.

I'm excited to close out my brown belt chapter as the master featherweight world champion and ranked number one in the world in my IBJJF division. This was a collective effort from my professors and teammates, who challenged me throughout the season.

I'm already preparing for my new division at black belt. This road will not be easy, but I am all in on this process. The journey has just begun. Thank you everyone for all the support.

All glory to God! ☝️

Gi or Nogi? Why not both. 🛡

Here at Hybrid Academy, we train both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi) and Nogi Jiu-Jitsu. We even train wrestling. Can you believe it? All three forms of grappling in one place.

A world champion bracket for me today.

The first round, I defeated the 2024 world champion. In the final; I was beating the 2025 reigning world champion and in the closing seconds, I fell short.

No excuses. I know I can thrive in this division. Back to the academy on Monday. We have work to do in preparation for December.

Thank you to my Professors and teammates. To my friends, my family, and to my sponsors. Thank you for all your support. 🫶
