• Root canal retreatment with removal of an old silver point.
• Silver points are metallic obturation cones historically used in endodontics, now obsolete due to sealing limitations and corrosion.
• Previously missed palatal canal located and treated. Silver point was removed using ultrasonic from the buccal canal.
• Laser used to assist with canal disinfection.

$• Cute lateral canal case for Friday! 🥰 • Laser-assisted irrigation for enhanced disinfection • Lateral lesions can sometimes mimic a root fracture • No crack observed after access and inspection • Significant recurrent decay noted upon access, suggesting coronal leakage as the source of infection • Lateral canal nicely captured with sealer after obturation. by @raadendo$

$Friday emergency. Complex dental trauma case *70-year-old female *Patient presented after a fall. *Tooth 7 was completely avulsed. Fortunately, the emergency team immediately placed the tooth in Toothsaver solution. *Teeth 6 and 8 were both intruded and displaced. *Soft-tissue injuries included lacerations of the lip and gingiva, which were sutured. Treatment performed: • Socket of #7 thoroughly cleaned • Tooth 7 carefully repositioned and replanted • Teeth 6 and 8 repositioned using anterior surgical forceps • Flexible splint placed Patient will return for root canal treatment on the affected teeth. The flexible splint will remain in place for 4 weeks due to alveolar bone fracture. by @raadendo$

Surgical repair of furcation decay was performed; this was not the ideal treatment scenario.
• Patient had already undergone extraction of the second molar, and an additional extraction was to be avoided due to systemic health concerns as well as financial limitations regarding future implant placement.
• Following root canal treatment, a full-thickness flap was raised.
• The defect was restored using bioceramic putty at the base, with Fuji IX glass ionomer placed on the surface for final restoration. by @raadendo

* One year recall of upper left maxillary 1st molar.
Significant healing observed in the tooth with chronic periapical lesion and maxillary sinus involvement
• Restoration of sinus pneumatization noted on the one year recall appointment.
• Treatment included laser-assisted disinfection and irrigation
*This case illustrates that teeth with sinus involvement can show favorable healing outcomes when managed appropriately. by @raadendo

$Not always the furcation bone loss necessarily indicate a crack or fracture. After laser-assisted irrigation and disinfection, a lateral canal near the furcation was captured and obturated with sealer. We will monitor this over the next year to assess for bone regeneration. #endodontist #laserendodontics #lateralcanalsobturation #rootcanaspecialist by @raadendo$

*At the one-year recall for three different teeth.
*An upper premolar, an upper lateral incisor, and a lower molar
*All three cases showed complete resolution of symptoms and clear healing of the lesions. The teeth remain functional, and the patients were asymptomatic.
*Laser-assisted disinfection and irrigation were utilized in all cases
