I showed up to this part of our shoot *so* excited. It felt like play. I created something, and then I got to watch it become a toy for a serious athlete. It was f*cking exhilarating and @_adamottenberg did not hold back. He grew up in Cayucos, CA and dropped in at this very ramp at just 8 years old. As a seasoned vert skater, he’s known for being able to skate anything with ease, which is why I was thrillllllled that he was brave enough to collaborate with me on this. (Because make no mistake, this was a dangerous layer on top of an already very extreme sport.) Behind the camera was @rabanimal, who has a whole other life riding BMX. Because of their shared knowledge, Alex and Adam could speak the same language on set. They were incredible to watch. Honestly, this day was one of the most rewarding days of my art career thus far, and it made me realize that I love working with athletes. I want to scheme up more collaborations with them. Love you guys!! taken in Cayucos, California by @rabanimal
