The Rabbit Hole GoFundMe is live.
A surrealist dark comedy exploring identity, escape, and modern adulthood, Rabbit Hole is based on a true story and partially inspired by a childhood favorite. The film reimagines NYC after hours as a maze-like, labyrinthine world where every seductive, uncanny, and chaotic encounter forces its characters to choose between spiraling downward and waking up.

This project means everything to us, and any contribution (or repost!) — no matter the size — would truly mean the world. Please support indie filmmakers who are pushing past overdone narratives about, by, and for the same people, and creating something genuinely innovative.

We’re exploring themes of socioeconomic power structures, functional addiction, and modern adulthood through an intersectional lens that exposes truths we believe are still missing from our screens. And we’re doing it in a way that’s actually exciting to watch — blending dark comedy with psychological surrealism to create something entertaining, unsettling, and fierce.

Introducing ✨TORI VAN LOON✨ Tori is a writer and producer on ‘Rabbit Hole’, and she’s completely freaking out (in many ways) to be working on her debut feature film! She began working on this project during a time where her dreams seemed unattainable and giving up on the arts felt like the next logical step. Thankfully, she gave it another shot in which she allowed her obstacles to form a new path forward. Tori is beyond grateful for the support she has received, and she can’t wait to find out what comes next!

To produce truthful, raw, and holistic content surrounding drug use is about as easy as it would be for a panda to walk across a tightrope, but our goal of creating something that caters to former, current, curious, and (non) drug users has remained constant.

We wrote this film as a way to better understand ourselves and people like us — those who’d rather dance under moonlight than face the existential dread that accompanies a sunrise.

We’re confident that our blend of grounded dramedy and psychological surrealism will invigorate the exact type of person for whom we wrote this film.
