We are thrilled to officially welcome Josh Schwartz as our new Head Boys Lacrosse Coach! 🦅🥍 Coach Schwartz joins the @rabungapeagles family with a phenomenal track record that spans every level of the sport, from elite youth club circuits to championship boarding programs, and an extensive career at the collegiate level. ⁠ ⁠ Bringing nearly a decade of collegiate experience to our program, Coach Schwartz previously served as the Associate Head Lacrosse Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Catawba College, where he secured multiple historic wins over nationally ranked Top 20 opponents. His collegiate resume also includes assistant coaching tenures at Coker College, Young Harris College, and Greensboro College, alongside leading top regional talent with Team 91 South and Team Carolina. ⁠ ⁠ Most recently, he was Assistant Coach at Christ School, helping claim their 2025 NCISAA State Championship title! 🏆 As a mentor and championship-caliber coach, Coach Schwartz is equipped to honor and continue the legacy of success built by inaugural Coach Ryne Linsley. He is ready to guide our student-athletes to new heights both on the field and in the classroom!⁠ ⁠ Returning JV and varsity @rabungapboyslacrosse were invited to a virtual team meeting with Coach Schwartz happening next week. It’s been an unbelievable stretch for @rabungapbaseball alumni! ⁠ ⁠ ⚾️ Join us in congratulating Max Viera '20, who signed a contract with the @BlueJays last week! Max’s contract was purchased by the Blue Jays after a spectacular run with the High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League. His journey from our campus, through elite Division I programs, and into the professional ranks is the ultimate testament to the work ethic, versatility, and resilience championed within our athletic program! ⁠ ⁠ ⚾️ And who can forget the epic run of two of our alumni in the NCAA College World Series last week? Armani Guzman '23 (West Virginia) and Dylan Alonzo '23 (Troy) faced off twice in Omaha, with games aired nationally on ESPN. It was amazing to see multiple Eagles compete against each other at the highest level of college baseball! JC Gonzalez has been named Interim Athletic Director, and Mark Green has been named Assistant Athletic Director.
