I can’t believe it’s been a year since the statue of Coach Kareus went on display! @bellamarise_13 and I had a vision and finally came true!!

A little back story! Sophomore year 2024, Bella and I were in Mrs. Keeners RTI room and just by me wearing a sweatshirt to school changed it all. We designed and sold clothes to raise money for the statue of Coach Kareus. Coach Kareus was a past science teacher and Cross Country Coach who was love dearly by Southside. He passed away by a tumor so that’s when Bella and I stepped up to raise money! We raised over $15,000 and reached our goal to make the statue happen. On this day, May 12th 2025, the statue was up to resemble Coach Kareus as he made an impact on Southside and Bella and I!! Thank you to all that supported @clothes.for.kareus !! Always memory through comfort for Coach Kareus!!💗 by @rachel_.settle
