Heaven has held our girl for 10 years today. 🤍🪽
There are no words big enough for the love we have for Jovie or the ache of missing her. Even after all these years, she remains one of the greatest parts of our story. I still imagine the milestones, the laughter, the personality, the life we would have shared together.
But even without those moments, her life mattered deeply. She changed us forever. Love like this doesn’t end just because we cannot see or hold someone. She is forever woven into the story of our family.

10 years of loving you. 10 years of missing you.
10 years of God’s faithfulness, peace and comfort through it all.

Happy 9th Heavenly Birthday my sweet Jovie girl 🤍 Missing you everyday, but your birthday always hits a little harder.

Today, I get to go back to a retreat at Lake Geneva, the very place where your heart took its last beat. It is bittersweet and yet somehow comforting to get to go back to the place where I last felt you move in my tummy, and where I am convinced you entered Heaven as we worshipped God together and sang the lyrics “You will be praised, You will be praised, with angels and saints we sing worthy are you Lord” and “You’re a good, good Father”.

We all miss you here, in fact your little sister who never even got to meet you was crying at the park the other day watching two sisters play together because she was so sad her Jovie doesn’t get to be here for her to play with. I told her it makes me sad too. I came across your brother Levi’s school calendar and saw where he made sure to pencil your name on May 13th to celebrate your birthday 🤍 You will always be loved and remembered!

The truth is as much as we wish you were here, we know you are in the best place you could ever be, the arms of Jesus - no pain, no sorrow, no fear. You are a constant reminder to us that this earth is our temporary home and you challenge us to keep our eyes fixed on eternal things - the hope of Heaven and an eternity with Jesus. We thank God for your precious life and all that you have taught us. I love you and will carry you in my heart forever 🤍
My prayer for anyone going through grief or pain in their life, is that instead of looking to the things of this world to try and find healing or fill a void (which will only prolong true healing- I found that out the hard way), you would look to the Lord. He has been the source of healing, strength, peace, comfort and joy in my heart through every hard moment, over and over again and He will do it for you too 🤍🙏 by @rachelfleig

It’s not lost on me how blessed I am for the precious time God has given me with my Dad 🤍 And the gift of watching my children get to enjoy their relationships with their grandparents. Happy Heavenly Birthday Jovie Rae 🤍
8 Years ago today I held you for the first, last and only time. Saying goodbye to you was one of the hardest moments of my life and was only possible because of the hope we have in Jesus. Holding you and finally getting to see your face was a gift I will treasure in my heart forever! I love you so much beautiful girl! You will never be forgotten 🤍

If you are grieving today, in the same way God has brought comfort to my heart I pray He will comfort you in your trials and pain. Cling to Him and He will carry you through 🤍🙏
