Starring Mary Garrett Turner, Kylan Ritchie, Ray Maxwell, Adam Dulin-Tavares, Johanna Tacadena, Claiborne Fortenberry, Trevor Markanovic, XiaoXiao Sun, Joshua Carandang, Garrett Swann, Olivia Vadnais, Merrill Joseffer & Sofía Faus. With sound design by Robin Blotnick. If you’re not out of town or working come on down to 36th st for some live theater! by @racheliplears

@totheendfilm comes out on Hulu in the US today! It’s a great antidote to climate pessimism- check it out if you need something like that or share with someone you know who does. And for some behind the scenes chit chat, I had a great conversation with @rojasalexandra on the Bloc Party podcast a few days ago: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bloc-party/id1540532726?i=1000611717616. International releases coming soon from @journeymanpictures This film was such a labor of love from everyone who appeared in it and worked on it, through the past several years of political rollercoasters, pandemic and three publicly released edits last year- Im so glad the final final version is finally landing here where US audiences will hopefully find it. 💚 [Coda: I’m not on social media right now generally- if you know me irl please reach out over text or email- I’d love to hear from you!] by @racheliplears

@totheendfilm is now available to rent or buy on TVOD platforms- Apple TV, Prime Video etc! And I’ve been having some great conversations with podcasts about the film- check out Politics in Question https://www.politicsinquestion.com/episodes/how-do-extraordinary-ordinary-people-change-the-world And The Great Battlefield https://greatbattlefield.com/episode/a-documentary-film-on-the-climate-movement-with-rachel-lears-of-the-films-to-the-end-and-knock-down-the-house/ (or wherever you get your podcasts :) by @racheliplears

Such a bummer that @varshiniprakash and I were both home sick tonight, missing the NYC premiere of @totheendfilm- but so glad @sabbygnyc @rgunner & @rojasalexandra could hold down the q&a, and so many thanks to @dancogan3 and @lizfgarbus for hosting!

This film has been the most difficult project I’ve ever worked on hands down in so many ways- emotionally (climate anxiety!), logistically (pandemic!), artistically (3 cuts!) and for my family—I’m so grateful to @robinhoodreversed for not only editing those 3 cuts (and doing tons of other work) while being a wonderful dad to Max but also just sticking with me through this rollercoaster.

It’s a weird moment to put a film in theaters - and this one is not an escapist blockbuster but some kind of wonky hybrid of dystopian political thriller and inspirational activist underdog story—but I hope people who understand and appreciate it will find it there. It will roll out on other platforms over the next few months but please go to the movie theaters if you can— I want independent cinema to be part of the low-carbon, high-care future economy that we’re going to have to build.

And if you know me irl and we haven’t talked in a while, I probably miss you- let’s get together and talk about something other than work! 💚 by @racheliplears
