To surrender all to Jesus, to live for Him with all your heart, submitting to His will, even when it’s ugly and painful. Recognising that your whole life belongs to Him, withholding nothing back from Him. Not your fears, doubts, career, relationships, preferences etc. He knows you’re beginning and your end.

I felt emotional in this moment here, soaking in the depths of these words, the inner anthem of the heart.

God is with us and He loves us so much.
Hope this encourages someone.

Pray without ceasing 🩷

This is a cover of a song called “Adua Ke’ o” by @theophilussunday. Ever since I first heard @lawrenceoyor and @godswilloyor sing this I’ve been so inspired to learn the Igala lyrics and share this encouraging song with you all. 🩷🩷 It can be hard to keep praying but it’s a necessity in a Christian’s life. This song really highlights that need for endurance.

It’s been so long since I posted a cover on my timeline ❤️‍🩹, but God has been so faithful to me, teaching me and moulding me with his intentional hands, speaking to the depths of my heart. I first heard this song in 2022. I’m glad to be able to share this dear song with y’all and I hope it blesses you as it blessed me. “Waste me on you” simply means to live whole-heartedly for Jesus in full submission to His will for your life. 🩵💙. I rarely share testimonies of what God has done in my life, I prefer to encourage y’all directly. But God has delivered me from so much through-out my life, and even from the tests and temptations of the enemy.. suicidal thoughts, impure thoughts, depression, anxiety, homelessness, family abuse, injustice, loneliness, persecution, betrayal, heartbreak, even from those closest to me claiming to love Jesus manifesting telling me to abandon Him, how can I when He’s been by my side through all these things? I am a miracle. All these things taught me how to manage and be satisfied with God, making me a mature Christian, able to teach others in wisdom. Jesus says in this world you WILL have trouble but take heart because He has overcome the world and therefore you are an OVERCOMER (John 16:33). The bible says we are not like the world where there is no hope, hope lives forever in believers, hope triumphs all. Christ is coming soon.
Just when you think you’re standing tall the enemy comes to test your foundation/identity. I hear of Christians suddenly getting suicidal thoughts that you would never expect that they were going through such things silently, because they smile. The enemy just wants you to give up on life itself. Fight the good fight of faith, lean on Jesus, He takes away such heaviness. 1 Peter 5:11 says there are believers all around the world going through the same suffering as you, you are not alone, we are all scarred in some way by this fallen world. I am a firm believer that all things are working out for the good of those who love God (Romans 8:28). As much as we like to think things are in our control, it really isn’t, it’s all God’s grace. I tell people I encounter to be patient and understanding with God because God is strengthening your faith in Him, and is building your relationship with him. God doesn’t hate you because of what you experienced, He loves you and wants you to be healed and filled with hope. That’s all I can fit here..💜 #jesus by @racheloshaks

What Is Love? 🕊️❤️

Wether you’re single or in a relationship, the greatest love to be known is the love of God. Human Relationships can be very complicated sometimes. But His Love is the foundation of all things. I think it is important to be secure in God’s love as an individual as this will be the basis for the course of your life.
God should always be first.

At times we fall short of love and expressing His love. So take every opportunity to sink deeper into His love for you because it’s never ending. Knowing His love, helps us to love better and it makes us strong.
This is the greatest relationship of all. This kind of love is the love that should complete you first.
In one of my sessions with God, I found Him leading me to focus on His Love for me, which led me to writing something small from the Spirit and I decided to share a piece of it with y’all. 💜

I hope it blessed you! You are loved🙏🏾 Before you even know Him, you are loved.

(See my previous post). It can be difficult to trust what’s in the heart. We are aware of Jeremiah 17:9; “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”. This verse can be very discouraging when isolated. It causes a believer to become very doubtful and solely dependent on man. The believer forgets that later on, God made a promise to fix this issue of an incurable, sick and deceitful heart in Ezekiel 36:26-27, where He states that He will give us an entirely new heart + an entirely new Spirit. This new heart will actually stimulate and impel you to live in a way that pleases God. The CEV version says it will even make you eager, in other words; cause you to DESIRE God’s will. This is why God is able to say He will give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4), because He has made His desires our own. This heart is influenced by the Spirit that comes when you embrace Jesus Christ. They work cooperatively.

We think flesh = enemy, but here the flesh actually represents life. That’s why it’s compared to a stone because a stone has no life, no emotion. The heart is an organ with no mind of its own but it metaphorically symbolises the soul, emotive state, life and the mind. Like how the heart pumps blood to our body, so it is the source of life and actions.
Jesus tells us that if we lust towards a person in our heart, we have already committed adultery, if we hate a person in our heart, we are already a murderer. He tells us the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. Genesis 6:5 tells us what God saw in man’s heart; evil. This is why God gave you a new heart He could trust, to place all His desires there, that it would land on fertile ground. You have to listen and trust Him to guide it and keep it clean. Be responsive and active with it. He doesn’t leave you in the dark anymore. His Spirit convicts and makes you aware of what is in it -anger, hate etc so that through prayer you can guard it (upkeep), not let demons thrive. So that you can control it. That’s a role of God’s Spirit in you : self-control. We learn from the bible that deception comes from the outside first not the inside (1Corinthians 15:33, Genesis 3:1).

“Listen” - 2023. In the year 2022 and even 2021 there have been profound times where I would hear the Holy Spirit speak in my heart and tell/warn me of certain things before they happened, and they would actually happen. Slowly I was learning to appreciate the Holy Spirit as my guide in my life, and to take every voice of His more seriously and also to trust His voice more. If you say you don’t have God’s voice then you are like a sheep without a shepherd, a student without a teacher, an orphan without a parent, a body without a Holy Spirit and you will be led by the world and anything you think or feel or hear from others instead. In other words, it’s like a rejection of God’s willingness to lead you because you think you are unworthy of His voice or you think only special or certain people can hear His voice, when truly, God speaks to anyone who is willing to listen and understand what He is trying to say. In Mark 4:9 Jesus said “He who has ears to hear, let them hear.”
I will make a separate post in regards to the heart and it’s desires.

Here’s a tip that I’ve learned, to hear God’s voice clearer; be brutally honest like Gideon..about everything, including yourself. He will speak back straight to your heart. Listen to that voice because He speaks. God is NOT silent. He encourages, He enlightens, He directs, He gives ideas and He places it all in there. Out of the heart flows the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). God actually cares about ALL areas of our personal life. So that still small voice within you that is vouching for God’s order, That counselling Holy Spirit that wants to do the work in you, listen to Him. Even in the mist of the voice of many others. Nothing compares to God’s voice unless you think those other voices are god. What people say should confirm what God has already told you, if indeed God spoke to you. I don’t believe God made us born-again for us to remain as babies. But rather to become mature and perfect. The voice within you which is God’s voice, the Holy Spirit, will certainly be tested. All will work out for your good because you choose to cling to His voice, that He spoke of in the beginning.

In 2023, listen.👂🏽
