I kind of woke up dreading today, but then I was reminded that everything will be okay and this is our temporary home. Mom, there hasn’t been a single day in the last 10 years I haven’t missed you. Your legacy lives on through us all and you are always on our minds and in our hearts. I hear your voice when I speak, I laugh at things I do now that my kids tease me about that I remember us teasing you about. Genetics are real! 😂 We Love You and Miss You more than words could ever express. I know you are watching over us and so proud of us all. Thanks for the rainbow this morning and thank you Maddie for visiting Oma’s grave today and putting flowers on it. Zander also left for Arizona today, but luckily Lance and I get to go see him very soon, so my Mama heart is doing okay with that part today.💕😇🌈🙏 #untilwemeetagain by @rachelpatenode

Happy 36th Birthday to my little sister Jessica;
though miles stretch between us,
you’re never far from my heart.

This year you became a mother of three,
somehow balancing tiny hands, sleepless nights,
a career spent caring for others,
and still being the kind of wife, sister, and friend
everyone leans on.

You give so much of yourself every single day
as a CRNA bringing calm in hard moments,
as a mom building a beautiful life for your babies,
and as the steady, loving person
our family is lucky to have.

I wish I could be there today
to celebrate you properly,
to hug you tight, steal baby snuggles,
