Bury me with these books

And for the lady, perhaps some amnesia?

Don’t even think about judging me

Bring It On single handedly led to my cheerleading and dance team involvement in school

My babies. Phil Coulson. Daisy. Spencer Reid. Jake Peralta. Captain Holt. EMILY PRENTISS. (I get really obsessed with things, okay)

That’s a lot of blondes, apparently. Also me as Mustang for Halloween. Hehe. by @rachelsbookstack

If you’ve read The Women by Kristin Hannah, you know just how integral women were during the Vietnam War. Over 265,000 military and civilian women served during this era. I visited the Women’s Vietnam War Memorial this Memorial Day weekend and was speechless when I saw the hair ties. This is apparently a phenomenon that happened organically; women leaving hair ties. Women throw their hair up and get to work. Women give each other hair ties when in need. Women carry hair ties on their wrists every day. It struck me as so profoundly representative of womanhood and yet also so stunningly ordinary. I feel like it might mean something a little different to every woman. But, that sense of a collective, shared “I see you” took my breath away. taken in Washington D. C. by @rachelsbookstack

Was absolutely geeked to attend The Ending Writes Itself book tour last night!! Evelyn Clarke’s, pen name for @veschwab & @catclarkewriter , (although they’d prefer you perceive them as garbage bin muppets— which I’d still like to see) debut murder mystery novel. These women are simply brilliant; and listening to them talk about not just their creative process and their craft, but their stories of how they got here was an inspiring pleasure and delight. I genuinely laughed out loud at least a dozen times, they are SO funny.

This book is for anyone who enjoys a locked-in, edge-of-your-seat thrilling ride. But this book also has a ton of heart. I left realizing what a quiet love letter this story was to the writers of the books we readers love. I have an immense amount of admiration for writers— not just your big juicy creative brains (I’m envious, okay?). But your grit and your determination to keep going, keep writing, keep putting your creative work out there again and again until someone gives you the chance you deserve. Thank you!! And to Evelyn Clarke— I’m officially a lifelong fan. taken in Washington D. C. by @rachelsbookstack
