At @necanncon 2026 in Atlantic City, NJ, alongside the @newjerseycannabischamber, the dialogue went deeper - operators sharing where things are breaking down, what’s changing, and what it’s really taking to move forward in this market.

My love and respect for the East Coast market grows and grows, and this last weekend showed exactly why. The way the NY and NJ markets showed up was huge. The hunger is there and @revelryny was such a great representation of the love, drive, and passion people in this space share.

It takes a lot of work to bring these events to life, and seeing everyone come out, represent their businesses, connect, and support each other is always worth celebrating.

A big thank you to everyone who closed out the evening with us at @torches.nyc alongside @pufcreativ and Joint Venture & Co.! The space is seriously out of this world, and it was the perfect place to end a packed day. And even bigger thank you to my team for making it all happen!

Also a big shout out and thank you to our team who held it down for us in Atlantic City at @necanncon: @cannabiscashqueen, @iamshawncredle, @creativemarketingdirector! We had a lot happening across the East Coast this weekend, and I’m grateful to have a team that shows up and represents @verdant_strategies so well wherever we are. 💚

Sometimes the most valuable person in the room is the one willing to poke holes in what you think you need.

Dennis O’Malley and I talked about what happens when someone comes to us saying, “I need a CFO.” The answer isn’t always to immediately fill that role. It’s to understand where the business is today, where the CEO is trying to take it, and what gaps actually stand between the two. Sometimes that means CFO-level support. Sometimes it means something else entirely.

The goal isn’t to sell someone the solution they asked for. It’s to ask the right questions, challenge the assumptions, and help identify the support the business actually needs.
