This summer, I’m heading back to Malawi, Africa for the second year in a row to serve alongside the ministry of @somebodycaresmalawi 🤍

We’re going to serve, but we’re also going to be served. The truth is, this ministry doesn’t need us to show up. God is already moving powerfully through the leadership, staff, and local communities. We simply get to be there. We get to witness what God is doing through Somebody Cares and through the faithful support of Mission Church. While we don’t know what this trip will hold, it is guaranteed to be another opportunity to learn and grow in my faith.

For the past 25 years, Somebody Cares has been a beacon of hope for families and communities across Malawi. What began as one woman’s simple “yes” to God has grown into a movement now serving over 300,000 people each year. Providing food, medical care, HIV hope and healing, farming initiatives, pastoral training, and education for children who receive both learning and a daily meal.

Through community centers, care for orphans and vulnerable children, support for grandmothers raising families alone, and encouragement for young widows and single mothers, it has become more than an organization, it’s a family. A place where the hungry are fed, the hopeless find hope, and the forgotten are remembered.

I’m humbled to play a small part in something that has been faithfully growing for 25 years. I know this trip will impact the communities we visit, but I also know it will impact me just as deeply.

The cost of the trip this year is $4,500, and I would be incredibly grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support. If you feel led to partner with me, you can give through my tax-deductible link in my BIO.

Thank you so much for reading and for walking alongside me in this journey 🤍 taken in Lilongwe, Malawi by @rachjusteats
