At times, it’s a real struggle to live out devoted leadership in the workplace, surrendering our time, assignments and attention to God. And yet, God continues to call us closer into that calling.

At our first Professional Women’s Network (PWN) event of the year, our speaker, @rachwade founder of @oliveus_together invited us to recenter our focus on putting God first in our work. (Matt 6:33)

Every day I’m overwhelmed by how God truly is in and through all things. In the clouds☁️, in a sweet interaction sitting across from you at a coffee shop☕, in my living room🏠, or in the pages of scripture📖. ⁣
⁣
𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱.⁣
⁣
I didn’t believe that for a long time. I believe it now, but see how my vision gets cloudy when I accept scraps when God has an abundant life for me. ⁣
⁣
Instead of flying and spreading my wings, I’ve stayed quiet at times, even letting some clip my wings, all because I’ve wanted camaraderie & connection. ⁣
⁣
That’s not living from my belovedness. ⁣
⁣

I’m interested in ‘Olive Us’ living out of the love we were created from. I’m interested in feeding mouths and feeding hearts. ⁣

I’m interested in creating pathways for the immigrant, BIPOC community, Black woman, unhoused brother & sister, kid without a voice, and all those on the margins. ⁣
⁣

That goes in front of YOUR name too. It is your birthright & inheritance. It comes with treating YOU with dignity, honor, and love. ⁣

This birthday, I press on. Leaving behind the old and pressing forward to the goal set before me. Growing around all the grief & celebrating extravagantly because this life is a 💩 show often lol. ⁣
